If you say "this thing is morally wrong" while also not being able to explain why that is, that doesn't speak well for your moral viewpoints.
The main issues I see with it is inbreeding risks for potential children, and potential harmful power imbalances when younger.

Have you considered why some of us ended up in furry in the first place? I actively dislike the human form and bits, and discovering there were other people like me when I was younger that also appreciated and preferred non-human designs and appearances was wonderful.

Feral art is okay. Zoophilia is not fucked-up nor inherently abusive. I certainly didn't choose to be zoo and I don't think interspecies contact is wrong by default either.
People choose how to behave, and abusive ones will exploit others regardless. We just want to exist safely

I see this the vast majority of the time when observing or interacting with anti-zoos. It inevitably falls to "get help", and when shown what getting help looks like, that we got the wrong help or the one we got help from is messed up too.

This isn't necessarily true at all. I grew up pretty isolated and didn't talk to anybody online at all till I was moving out on my own, still knew I liked animals and such around 11 or 12 despite religious conservative upbringing. Thankfully escaped that too.

Um, no? I distinctly remember my first interests that actually appealed to me being dragons (which are understandably fictional) and dolphins, and that was quite young and raised in a religious house without any form of sexual abuse or the like. It's just natural for me.

It's not that people are turning a blind eye, but that a lot of people don't care in the first place or have zoo leanings or preferences themselves.
It's just been more and more unsafe to be open about it as time has gone on and people have shown willingness to ruin others.

The whole thing with people posting about ratios and L/W and fatherless and similar insults really strikes me as odd. I can't think of anyone I know of in person that has ever talked like that and it just seems pointless.

It's not a bloody infiltration effort. Folks that are therian or kin are oftentimes also going to be zoo. Not all, of course, but you'd understand if identity and self is wrapped up in non-human, that sexuality would follow as well for many, yes? This is nothing new.

I have to say it's quite annoying the amount of bots on this platform. Way too often random likes end up just being bots to be blocked. Wasn't really the case till last half year or so where started to become norm.

I'm a zoophile that has had to spend a -long- time living with that and working out what that meant for me and how I saw things.
I'd honestly prefer to be vegan but a mix of costs and restricted eating options makes that not-possible for now.

Turn off your HUD in settings and use the telescope item.
It's a bit harder for self-photos, but you can setup the shot and use a gesture, then turn off the HUD for your shot.

As it turns out, some of us have indeed "gotten help" but it never goes the way your sorts all seem to expect it to.
I haven't myself, but it doesn't cause me any personal distress to be this way and I don't love around or hurt animals either. No need for therapy.

Sure, there's people that abuse animals and that's a terrible thing that we're against too, but most zoos do care very much for their animal partners. Treating them like a toy isn't a part of that.

Mate, it's still very public and easily accessible. Plenty of sites out there to enjoy that, furry or anime or otherwise.
It wasn't called out because it's not an issue to enjoy art and such. The moment that turns into real people being hurt or taken advantage of, I'd agree.

Being zoo isn't a choice or not. Participating in a community or being around others -is- a choice, however. Taking care of mental health is good, but you don't just stop being zoo any more than one stops being gay or straight.

Yeah I'd agree. Even if I've never gotten to actually do anything with it, I really like just being able to accept that for myself and have friends that do as well. Some are zoo and some are not but either way I've had mostly good experiences with people I've trusted ^^
