I've been volunteering at cons for 3-4 years along with freinds that are zoos, we run your cons and donate to animal charities all the time. You can't rewrite history to seem "woke" in the public eye.
Our conventions often do gangbusters fundraisers for shelters and animal welfare orgs, there are many small institutions that keep operating entirely because of annual furry support. This whole grooming/zoophilia thing is not only malicious, it's insulting on a fundamental level.
