It's the way she refers to her as to woman who 'cleans the toilets' that annoys me. She has literally reduced the 'sweet woman', the one who enables her to do other things with her time, the one who most likely takes care of the whole house, so 'someone who cleans up my sh*t'.

It's designed to separate the word 'woman' from the anatomy of women. If you can separate them, then we become 'chest feeders', 'people with uteruses', 'birth givers' rather than women, which makes it easier for men to appropriate our language and erase our identity.

These are usually light-hearted references, so perhaps that is a reason it isn't the most appropriate term in this case as there is nothing lighthearted about this situation.

I was also vaguely pro sex work. What could be better than legalising it so there could be health checks, legal protections and so on? But it never really works like that, not for the majority. And it just feeds into the objectification of women etc. So I changed my position.
