Whoever thought these stocks weren't going to go down 30% or more doesn't understand growth investing. Cathie knew it would happen sometime, she was saying it would happen sometime before it did. Chill!
@wesbury
You're implying that there are people out there who want the economy to be shut down even if that's unnecessary. Who are these people? I think they're just another figment of your imagination.

OMG you're right! Her words might lead to someone actually setting fire to an opinion and inserting it into their anus! I am very concerned.

This will be the beginning of a new slang phrase: handing someone the nuclear codes. Meaning giving them something they can easily and devastatingly mock you with.
@SchopenhauerG3
That a mind-independent reality exists that can be known through science. If this weren't the case, the capacity of scientific theories to lead to novel and successful predictions would be miraculous, and miracles don't exist.
Science is really really hard and almost never works. All its current problems come from people cutting corners to make pretend-science easy so they don't have to do real science.
Fixing science means getting rid of the easy stuff so all that's left is painfully careful and true
@ChrisBloomstran
The punchline here is that you like to spend time with guys who are very similar to you. You're not very adventurous in your friendships.
@dailydirtnap
They will choose C, which is a liberal government informed by science using a fiscally sustainable budget to address the problems that confront our nation and our planet
@bendreyfuss
Yes, this is what all decent people do because we’re interested in the welfare of the planet and we want our packages to be delivered in fewer trips.

It's funny how this guy asks questions about how to handle this relationship when we're all amazed it even exists. You tell me, you're the pioneer here.
700 studies (and # growing fast) of many researchers and research groups are now showing 100% RE systems are possible and cost effective.
Doesn't mean we *should* go for 100% RE. But pls grow up and acknowledge that we *could*.
@benlandautaylor
Is there any precedent for the US government falsifying economic information for political purposes? How would that even work? How could it go undetected?
@Esqueer_
This is an example of humor. People often make exaggerated and absurd statements in order to provoke hilarity in others. Humor is not meant to be taken literally.
He never talks about this -- but by all accounts, Secretary Pete Buttigieg played an essential role in preventing the 5G standoff from causing massive chaos for US air travel.

Oh I thought you were talking about the Maharishi Valmiki, who also two wrote massive epic poems and is sort of the Indian Homer, but you were talking about a cartoon.

Life is an accident without cosmic significance. Death is just a rearrangement of chemicals. I find these thoughts consoling as I grow older.

The -cel suffix derives from incel and has to mean that all wordcels, theorycels, and the like are missing out on some intellectual good that is analogous to sex. What is that good? If shape rotation, how is that like sex?
@CatOrman1
The delusion that we can't afford to spend whatever it takes to solve climate change and make sure that people have adequate healthcare, childcare, etc.

Thank you. This is the answer. Environmentalism does not require denying oneself a normal life just advocating that a normal life should become less harmful.
@TheStalwart
Sure but look at deaths. Not even 50 people are dying of covid in Texas on an average day. In April, 1,000 people were dying of covid every day in New York alone. We've made progress in treating this illness. This is what the covid bears are missing.
