Basic, common error: The "you" in your litany is the CCP, not the Chinese people. It's possible to like one and dislike the other. Just as many Chinese detest the behavior of the US government, but can be friendly to Americans.

There would be a different reaction because a PLA general predicting war is predicting a Chinese Invasion of Taiwan. An American general predicting war is also predicting the same. In both cases China holds the trigger. Also, hasn't the DoD already contradicted his statement?

But there's never been the sort of fervor against the Cold War on China in any part of the political spectrum as there is against the proxy war against Russia or against Israel's occupation either. The Cold War on China doesn't polarize, it just soaks everything like a miasma.

No matter how hard China hawks have tried, they have never been successful in cultivating the sort of fervor that Americans have for Israel for Taiwan. It’s kind of funny.

"China spy" has become the same thing as "Muslim terrorist" was in the 2000s-2010s. They exist in small numbers but their presence and significance has been blown up massively into a racially charged boogeyman.

Yeah, it's crazy how China literally imposed the most dramatic lockdown in modern human history (which most Western countries would not have done) and eliminated the virus domestically, yet it still gets blamed simply because it originated there, even though what a country

The blatant racism that constitutes the most up voted comments on @evadou 's article. On a personal level, Eva, do you feel any impetus to take this up with your employer? @wapo presumably hires some Chinese Americans. Yet allow this stuff to be spewed on its site.

As Gina Raimondo was visiting China, a Chinese smartphone was quietly launched online. It was no normal gadget. Its launch has sparked concern in Washington that U.S. sanctions have failed to prevent China from making a key technological advance. @evadou

That's because he thinks like a grand strategist for a country that wants to maintain global hegemony, which requires big chess pieces like India onside. China doesn't care about global hegemony. It only cares about its very narrow and parochial territorial claims.

Hinduism has overtaken Buddhism in Australia. Islam overtook Buddhism in the early 2010s. In the 1990s, Hinduism was only a small fraction of Buddhism.

@dyjimgi Because without massive change, East Asia will effectively disappear as a major world region due to its low birth rate/societies' inability to foster genetic survival. It doesn't matter how well you think it functions, if it no longer exists, it doesn't matter.
