@ChinaTravelGuy @serpentza China's record on vaccines is sketchy, I agree, but most of the criminal gangs making fake Covid vaccines that were busted were trying to ship it abroad. If you went to a legit hospital or government vaccination center I doubt it was a real risk.

@serpentza @ChinaTravelGuy I was replying to the other guy and his assertion that people were getting health problems months or years down the line due to fake vaccines.

There were some, uneven, attempts to pressure people to get vaccinated, but compared to everything else about "Zero Covid", the vaccination drive was really pretty tame. The government always stressed it was "voluntary", while it certainly didn't for the quarantines.

@marchofer @ChinaTravelGuy @serpentza I've heard they made such requests of foreign journalists in order to make life difficult for them. Perhaps this was the case with you? In any case, in order to take trains, planes and stay in hotels all you needed were a green code and a recent PCR test.
