The Elephant in the Room though is that the current substitution process in the GAA is not fit for purpose. Half Way Line - No one on until someone goes off - Yellow card if a player enters the field early. No more slips of paper.

What a strange post Trawling through 70 minutes, over 100 hand passes to post this??? In reality, there was 1 throw given in the game. Against Tipp. The Quaid "throw" here is almost certainly within the rules. Little separation but there doesn't have to be. Too quick for you.

A great referee but his comments regarding Leinster and Connacht are ludicrous. He reffed 3 of last 6 AI Finals (3/5 if you take Tipp 2019 out of it) and Colm Lyons did last year. Paud Dwyer has been very good last few years and hasn't got the final yet. Came accross as bitter.

What has gender anything to do with it? If you go to camogie matches you will see that most Camogie referees are male. I'd hazard a guess at 90% plus. The best camogie referees should ref the final regardless of gender.
