@lollyfitz13 Love when men shame us for rejecting them ‘I came over specifically just to talk to you. That’s not easy for a man with crippling misogynistic tendencies to do, so I really think it’d be rude if you didn’t accept my creepy advances’ they might as well say🙄.

This simply is not true even at face value. If a bidder turns down a social house, it gets offered to the next in line and so forth. The only way his statement would be true is if there were 1000’s of habitable empty social housing units. To be clear, Vardkar knows this.

GAA is hardly the epitome of a moral organisation respectful of women but this is a f***ing disgrace. Powerful message to send both young women and boys regarding domestic abuse. And before anyone comes at me with ‘innocent until proven guilty’, you’s are telling on yourselves.

@ramencult This! It’s not about ‘omg I’m beautiful even though I’m fat!People should be attracted to me!’ Its about your body being literally the most mundane and least interesting thing about you. Your thoughts, intelligence, the life you’ve led, the dreams you have are much more important.

@MaudsGone @LisaMMcGee Oh my god why is this so true 🤣🤣🤣😂😂 it was the bizarre alongside the everyday. I used to go home and Mam would be like ‘did ya cycle far?’ And in my long winded story I’d never even mention ‘aye cycled by a few soldiers in hedges with giant guns but sure…’.

@terracottapie__ I got a voicemail from my Mum saying ‘hi Sinéad, just to let you know the forensic team just left there…police still here. Hope you’re ok. Bye’-turns out they’d been burgled but I thought Dad had been murdered. She forgot she hadn’t told me the first bit🙄🙄🙄.

There’ll be a new training module in Templemore before the year is out entitled ‘Dealing with the Burkes’ with actors and actresses parkouring around a courtroom and trainee guards having to catch them.
There were unprecedented and chaotic scenes at the Court of Appeal as six members of the Burke family were forcibly removed from the courtroom by gardaí. It came as the Court of Appeal dismissed Enoch Burke's challenges to court orders | Read more:

In all my friend groups we refer to the group as lads. With one friend group, we have a time honoured tradition of when we meet up, one has to announce ‘here we all are now, all the lads’
In Hiberno-English, the plural form "lads" is non-gender-specific, like "ils" in French. Sometimes plural vs singular forms add valuable context as well as just indicating numbers: the way "I have to wash my hand" sounds worse than "I have to wash my hands", for example.

@ShaneMcAuliffe1 Not shocking to me at all but more shocking is after the years of exposure of these vicious evil views and rampant child abuse, there’s still Wedding, Holy Communions, Confirmations galore with priests still revered at the heart of the community.

@FrankGreaney Judge is a former Garda. Considering the horrific details of this case heavily involving An Garda Síochána and Moody convincing the victim he was untouchable because of his occupation, Nolan should’ve recused himself at least out of sensitivity and respect to the victim.

@georgiaas00 Asda is amazing value and their own brand food development considering the price points are pretty incredible. I hope brand giants like P&G, Unilever, Cussons and Mondelez suffer this winter as a result of people switching into own brand as it’s a long time coming.

@sianushka That’s how certain rich people clear their conscience over the unfairness and inequality which they’re enjoying the fruits of. ’just shows hard working pays off’ ‘I worked hard for everything I got’ when anyone with half a brain knows that is not how the world works.

A reminder that Elliot Page winds TERFs up the *most* as he has spoken many times about how HAPPY and grateful he is to be finally in the body that makes sense. He’s not speaking for anyone else but himself. The replies here accusing him of being miserable and aging….
In his first UK interview for his book Pageboy, @TheElliotPage shares how it feels to get to where he needed to be to feel like he’s fully living his life and his message for anyone struggling in the way he did for so many years. 🙏. #Lorraine

@road2profifa @TheBrooksyHD @NeighNeigh12 Agree, start with one tiny thing and work on that for a week. Even just changing a daily packet of crisps to a piece of fruit and don’t worry about anything else that day. Even if it takes 2 weeks to implement. then work on doing 2k of steps. Mix it up, one steps a time 🙌🏻.

@faithfulpundit @sianushka Totally agree with this statement. It’s very expensive being poor and the richer you are, the easier it is to get richer by investments, interest, being able to pay for things up front annually and get discounts, buy high quality goods that last years so low pay-per-use etc etc.

@Nurseborisbash My Mum used to take home lone geriatric patients clothes and wash them. Some vulnerable had no pyjamas and she used to go and buy them some in Dunnes which is insane as we were on a very tight budget growing up. She hated seeing them in a flimsy gown as if they’re nobody’s child.

@PostPunkPodge I don’t believe all female schools are the problem.I am so glad I got my education away from men and their problematic nature until I was 18.suspect all males schools did create an echo chamber of toxic masculinity but lots of misogynistic pricks come from mixed school background.

@lollyfitz13 Internalised misogyny is rife when a female doesn’t believe you ffs. I don’t expect fellow females to blindly believe but it’s extremely easy to believe anything like this as it’ll have happened to ALL of us in some form, textbook repetitive stuff globally.
