Realising that the Irish for ‘freckles’ is ‘Póigíní gréine’ which translates to 'little kisses of the sun' has made my day.

My uncle died from Polio in 1957. My beloved granny had to bury her two year old son.
She sat where his cot was every day until the day she died.
Polio was eradicated by vaccines.
I was delighted to get my booster today.

“Unskilled Work” is a myth!!
I say this as someone who has done bar work, housekeeping, restaurant/ functions, office admin and worked with kids.
A patronising and insulting term invented by those who have never done a hard days work in their privileged lives.

I grew up in one of the most militarised areas of Europe. This was my normality. Denying the truth doesn’t change the facts. Catch a grip!
#southarmagh
My best friend lives in Sydney. Last night she walked into my kitchen and asked for a cup of tea. There were tears. Still in shock!
Happy Christmas everyone!! ♥️
Disgraceful. This is a total insult to the people of South Armagh. A generous, kind hearted and proud community. Time to LISTEN to them. This is a clear demonstration of how we are viewed.
P.S. This is no “station”. It’s a military style barracks and it needs to go.
I feel sorry for the small minded people at the
@News_Letter

My sister is intelligent, compassionate, hilarious & committed to making change.
Above all else, she is her own woman.
Anyone lucky enough to know
@EllenFearon
knows all of these things 💯
Over the coming weeks, I will be stepping down as MLA for Newry and Armagh.
It’s been an absolute honour and I will always be grateful for this opportunity.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of making it so special. ♥️
Lad, I was a public rep for 8 years. Good luck finding any examples of sectarianism on my part. Thanks to how my parents raised me, it’s not in my system to hate.
Time to stop throwing around these platitudes and make an effort to understand each other.
Judging by recent commentary, I still don’t think this simple notion has caught on. Women are human beings. We exist. Independently.
Not only is she someone’s mother, sister, daughter and friend...
SHE. IS. SOMEONE.
Let’s stop defining women’s worth by our relation to men.
**THANK YOU** to the kind soul that taped this to my car at Moira Train Station.
Went for a walk at Broad Water and realised my phone wasn’t in my pocket, no idea I had dropped it in the car park (back card in the cover)!🙈
So grateful!
🙏🏼⭐️♥️
Nice of you to finally notice us!🙄
Lots of people in the south popping up to care about our rights for the day.
Please do a bit of research first!
1. The denial of rights is the reason we have no assembly.
2. It is the DUP who have been denying said rights.
Not hard. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Good news for equality in Northern Ireland from today’s House of Commons vote. 🏳️🌈🌈
It’s a pity that the Executive and Assembly isn’t sitting in Northern Ireland to pass the law themselves.
‘Soldier F’ banner erected in

So sad to hear about

- my absolute favourite comedian.
Aside from being completely hilarious, he was also an absolute gentleman. He had family in Dromintee and visited our area frequently enjoying many a pint.

I wish I had been a Schitts Creek fan back then because our chat would have been even better than it already was.
Comedic genius 🙌🏼

Sending love to

I was only 6 when the
#GoodFridayAgreement
was signed. I remember watching it all unfold with my mum. The emotion in our house was palpable. We cannot take it for granted. My generation grew up in a very different place because of it. 20 years later, we have a duty to protect it.
The fact that these guys have no photos of

or didn’t post any themselves - means they KNEW it was wrong AT THE TIME.
All these excuses are bs.
Our first Christmas Day baby in Daisy Hill Hospital was baby girl Savage (pictured in a cute Santa hat, knitted by Teresa Caulfield from Rostrevor), born at 4.13pm weighing 8lb 7oz.
Mum & dad Orla & Shane from Drumaness are delighted with their Christmas Day present!

Proud of local man Brendan Hodgers for telling his late wife’s story. Shiela Hodgers died of cancer in 1983 when her cancer treatment was stopped due to pregnancy. This is the what the 8th amendment does. We must remove it. We must act to save women’s lives.

Nelson, a chara,
1) I’m no longer Sinn Féin’s youngest MLA, our team is ever growing☺️
2) Do I still count as new after 7 years? If so, great!👵🏼
3) Thanks for free

4) DUP grasp of science as sharp as ever🌍
5) Wear your lily with pride this Easter🇮🇪
Sinn Féin are now the largest party on Newry, Mourne and Down Council with 16 seats. Electing progressive voices to new seats and breaking ground for the future. So proud of all our candidates, their families and our activists. Now the hard work begins.

The Derry manager will be a man who wrote a character reference for someone convicted of sexual assault. Shame on
@Doiregaa
who have clearly learned no lessons.
When will
@officialgaa
@UlsterGAA
step up? Parading Women’s Aid around Croke Park on game day is not enough. All talk.
Of all the things I thought I’d never say
“It’s the GAA Social, on BBC Sounds & we’re joined today by Derry manager….Mickey Harte”
And Louth announcing he’d be joining Derry in a press release! No official confirmation from Derry, but Mickey is the new manager. Remarkable
At times over the last few days, I’ve felt like I was at my own wake 😅
Genuinely so overwhelmed by all the lovely messages, memories & well wishes.🥰
Thank you so much to everyone - your kindness has been so appreciated. 🙏🏼
Today’s tea:
-It doesn’t matter if there is a second referendum, England will decide our fate.
-It doesn’t matter who the British PM is, they don’t care about Ireland.
Therein lies the problem. ☕️

Honestly RIP my mentions. The amount of *men* correcting me about the place I am from 🙄
This beautiful view of Armagh, Down and Louth can only be seen from South Armagh - where I was standing.
Go get your kicks elsewhere.
The Championship is not a 26 county tournament!
Any conversation on future of games must be on an all-Ireland basis.
Pity there was no northern GAA voices on

tonight.
@aoifegracemoore
There's a spit in SF between trotsky, woke, identity politics wing & the United Ireland wing
Ard Comhairle meetings Megan Fearon said that abortion was the most important issue in Ireland & Rita O'Hare said Unity was the most important issue
Woke have won over Unity re priority
Human rights can’t be cherrypicked.
CEDAW’s recommendations should be implemented in full.
Abortion services should be available to all who need or want them.
Free, safe, legal and local 🙌🏼
It’s ‘insincere’ & ‘politically motivated’ to give a platform to someone who opposes basic human rights for fellow citizens and thinks of others as “less than” in order to simply bash another political party.
Nobody should ‘ignore’ this, but everyone should stand against it.
So proud of my good friend
@LizK1988
- our newest MLA! A dedicated community activist & tireless worker.
The perfect person for this role.
I’m so excited to see what comes next. The future is bright with our Liz 💚

The levels of personal abuse and vitriol being directed at political reps is beyond disturbing.
Disagree all you want, even be angry, but there are a million more respectful and productive ways to make your point.
Nobody should have to deal with that.
If I could vote today it would be for

but as a northern citizen I am denied this right. Liadh has been an exceptional candidate setting out her vision for a united, more inclusive and kinder Ireland. Great to be part of this team!

My heart is broken at the news from Carlingford. A place so close to my own heart having made so many memories out with friends and family. Thank you to the emergency services & community. All of our thoughts and prayers will be with Ruth Maguire’s family and friends. Tragic 💔
I think words are failing a lot of us this morning. Nothing seems to cover the disbelief, heartbreak and anger.
A young woman, full of potential and in her prime, murdered by cowards.
Thinking of her family, friends, partner and the community in Derry. ❤️
