I remember watching this live There’s absolutely no doubt pro golf was better on a number of levels then (hitting a balata ball with a 1 iron 👌) and this event is sorely missed - match play is so good
Throwback to the 1989 World Matchplay on the European Tour at Wentworth. Faldo hit a baby fade with a 1-iron and balata into 18 to make an eagle and defeat Ian Woosnam. He played the last 7 holes in 7 under. This was elite ball striking on full display!

LIV Adelaide is likely to go to Kooyonga in 2027 The Grange will have done 4 years and it sounds like a deal for a 5th year won’t get done Kooyonga is a superb course which has hosted many championships - Gary Player won an Australian Open here From 28 LIV is meant to move to

Watching Thriston Lawrence on @DPWorldTour playing well after a difficult year on the PGAT Players moving tours have to adjust Guys on the PGAT year in and year out know the same courses This is an issue for guys playing LIV and world events - lots of different courses
