I can’t fathom reporters writing “Barack,” “Donald,” “Mike” or “Joe.” They did it with “Hillary,” but I can sort of understand that since there is another “Clinton.”

This is a complete misread of how popular Shapiro already was in the commonwealth. And that PA is a blue state when Trump isn’t on the ballot.
Running against Mastriano made his election easier, but Shapiro would have trampled any Republican candidate in PA in 2022.

I think it shows more where the GOP base is in these states. Mastriano won a primary. He was the guy Rep voters wanted.
(That said, the GOP could have chosen William Penn himself in 2022, and Shapiro would have beaten him. Shapiro is that popular in PA.)

She is 100% convinced Biden needed to step aside. She said the vacant stares during the debate were "scary."

That’s not accurate.
Mike Vereb, Shapiro’s aide and a former Republican member of the PA House, resigned several months after the complaint was filed, and a few weeks after a settlement was reached. The settlement does not allow either party to discuss what happened.

This all went down last year. Mike Vereb, a former cop and Republican State Legislator, was tight with Shapiro for years. Vereb resigned his spot in the administration in September or October, and the woman he harassed got, I think, $290k.

He’s got his very strong base, but it’s a squishy middle.
Young people don’t like him, but they’ve also abandoned Biden due to age.
