I’m a right-leaning woman who agrees with almost nothing the Biden-Harris administration has done, but the primal hatred and disgust Vance stokes in me transcends politics. I suspect I am not the only woman of my vintage, so to speak, who feels this way.
JD Vance says women who haven’t given birth like Kamala Harris are “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives,” and have “no direct stake” in America.

Amazing how many men just readily confess that they believe women without children don’t have an equal stake in society. That we are essentially meaningless absent childbearing. Appreciate the clarity, these mask-off moments tell us everything we need to know.
@CorieWhalen I’m a conservative. Will not be voting for Trump/Vance. That said, what he just said is true. What business do a bunch of childless cat ladies in the Dem party have telling the rest of the country how it’s going to be? They don’t. And they won’t.

I deem this genre of outrage “decorum inversion.” The President of the United States acts like a psycho constantly, nuking any expectation of normalcy. But the second someone else does something off color, especially as it relates to him, we must clutch our pearls in horror! 🙄.
Disappointed to see @SpeakerPelosi rip up the speech that mentioned lives we’ve lost and heroes we celebrated at the SOTU. No matter how you feel or what you disagree with, remember others are watching. This was unbecoming of someone at her level in office.

@michaelcdeibert I am not going to suggest that he doesn’t admire his beautiful and successful wife who is way out of his league, but my assessment of his vibe stands. He’s off-putting on a visceral level and I hope he goes down in proverbial flames with the Trump cult.

I don’t like Vance, but at least he sat down for an adversarial interview. When will Kamala go on Fox News? Shitposting isn’t a campaign.

A lot of conservatives who view themselves as supportive of free markets seem to still be in denial about this. Trump is making it quite clear that he’s likely to be worse for the economy than Harris. Many voters assume a “businessman” knows what he’s doing. This one doesn’t.
I can't imagine Trump could do anything more to make clear to the world that he is not bluffing about his intention to impose massive new tariffs.

This is who Trump is. He’ll always find a way to lose by fixating on some petty bs. His win in 2016 was a fluke and largely a result of Hillary’s shortcomings. Trump isn’t special, he’s a loser. The sooner the @GOP comes to terms with this, the sooner they can go back to winning.
If you want to understand the problem Trump created for himself in Georgia, today on the radio, 9 out of 10 callers are women, and they're all mad at him for attacking Brian Kemp's wife.

Cancel culture is blue collar workers at Smith being fired & harassed over false racism accusations, or a Mexican-American being fired due to fake “white supremacist hand gestures.” It’s not prominent people like Tanden losing a political appointment or Hawley losing a book deal.
If you believe cancel culture is real, the Neera Tanden sinking should strike you as chilling. I made the case back in December.

What did people think was going to happen when the @GOP turned into a vehicle for Trump’s latest scam? He’s been an open conman since the 80s. It’s Trump University on a nationwide scale. The fact that some people haven’t accepted that they’ve been had yet is honestly just sad.
Guys, we do not have a ground game. Outsourcing that most critical function to TPUSA Action and two other untested PACs are not the actions of a campaign serious about winning. Frankly, it’s insane. Kamala and the Dems are way ahead of us and will out register, out ballot.

This right here is genuine feminism. The kind that so many women around the world pay an unthinkable price for. She’s extremely brave.
In Iran, a woman who was accosted by the “morality police” for not wearing hijab removes her clothing & roams the streets in defiance. She has since been arrested by IRGC forces and forcibly disappeared. This is the brave face of true resistance.

Respectfully, this is absurd. SCOTUS wasn’t ruling on a policy—in this case student loan forgiveness. It rightfully placed limits on the unilateral power of the executive branch. Want this law? Pass it in Congress. That alleged defenders of democracy don’t get this is troubling.
Today, the Supreme Court sided with Republican elected officials, blocking relief to over 40 million working and middle-class Americans. I believe the Court’s decision is wrong – I will not stop fighting to deliver relief to borrowers who need it the most.

I often ask myself what it will take for Republicans, particularly elected officials, to stop placating this deranged man. But I’ve been asking for 6 years now, including when I worked on Capitol Hill as a Republican staffer. The answer is clearly nothing. There’s never a bottom.
Trump told a conservative radio host today that he'd issue full pardons and a government apology to the Capitol rioters who violently attacked law enforcement to stop the democratic transfer of power.

@klcmurphy It’s a fantasy agenda aimed at low info voters. Prices don’t increase across the board because of “corporate greed.” It doesn’t even make sense, because it assumes that sometimes, apparently randomly, they suddenly decide not to be greedy? And here are the actual margins:.

So many of the replies to this are insane. There are people who want to harshly restrict young, healthy, vaccinated people indefinitely because there’s a *chance* they could spread Covid. Failing to accept that the virus is endemic is breaking people.
It's pretty insane to put such harsh restrictions in place on a campus where **everybody is fully vaccinated**. Some people have really lost the plot.

Maybe it’s just a lack of a clear alternative at this point, but if Republicans nominate Trump again, they deserve to lose in spectacular fashion.
DeSantis sits at 24% in the latest WSJ poll. This is a red alarm for his campaign team. He has high positives but a low base. There’s no path. Something unforeseen could change the trajectory here but that’s not a strategy. This is a bad place for a campaign to be.
