My daughter is reading Pure Poison by Hawkings Austin for her literature class. Extremely weird experience reading your own book for your kid. It does have my favorite chapter "The Ugly Old Man." She read that tonight, super good, super gross, dang I'm good.

Yeah, I teach a class on EMPs. They're just shy of magic to most people, so it isn't surprising. Once you get to rise/fall time of EM waves based on electron recombination, they' pretty much glaze over.
