Like a cup of murder with your coffee? Severn doesn't need the Summer Court's money and frankly, there's more intellectual stimulation to be found in an old history book and a good cup of coffee than in the tawdry

Lawfare. The regs are designed to let activists sue a gazillion times and eat 4 years of everyone's lives. They don't sue till holes are dug, guaranteeing that a hundred million investment sits idle for years.

I keep hearing how insurance will cover everything. It never has. Do you get your car back after a wreck? Well, a car, but you lose all that value. Business I'd like that. Maybe they rebuild, but you won't have a shop for months. No product, no income. Nobody replaces that.

So, at a LARP, I entered a raffle. They asked us to sign our names on a form...it seemed reasonable...I put a ? instead of my name.
She looked at me and I said "I'm Hawk the Questioner, everyone will know who it is." She let it pass. I didn't get hit with the curse in the finale

I was there. All papers and approvals went to GSFC, and to Hanson's merry men. You said what they wanted, or you went looking for work. ( I left)

I don't disagree with you, but also -
1) Tell your wife she is beautiful, every day. Believe it.
2) Enjoy being with your wife as often as you can.
3) remember that a side piece will destroy this utterly.

You can do it today. You just can't assume you're getting a good house. Get a cheap house and work on it. Get an inexpensive car. Your kids will have to get used to small Christmases and clothing-centric birthdays.

There was a day, not that many years ago, when I thought the whole point was having a representative democracy. Then I found out that the republic was a bunch of royalists holding on to senatorial seats, so the only representation was the noble families.
Purity Wellman died in 1958. She returns to a world she no longer understands, but there are still evil men. For the devil’s work is never finished and the Wellman family business is never done. But, this time, she isn’t going to give up and die, again.

Starbuck has gone berserk, killing Cylons in her ship. The Galactica is getting ready to leave system.
On the radio -
Adama: Starbuck, what do you hear?
*Cylon debris hitting her ship*
Starbuck: Nothing but the rain.
Adama: Then grab your gun and bring in the cat.

As an example, look at Irish folk tales. They weren't worried about people stealing money. (Nobody had any.) Milk was precious. A gallon of milk was a days labor. Farm life - which used to be everyone's life- gets you fed most years, but it's constant work.

Yeah, we found that Ulysses hadn't been read, and they were about to destroy the tapes. So, we got them read and converted to digital data. Everyone was staring at the data, trying to get it to make sense. I realized a piece was a date. I counted the line...72 characters,

To be clear, Larry is a very good author. His work in just Monster Hunters will define the genre for decades. He has earned his mountain.

I am not deaf, but I'm realizing that my hearing isn't what it used to be. In crowded settings, with barriers and masks, I'm not able to understand what people are saying. I can only imagine what people with significant hearing loss or deafness are going through.

I think it was around in the Lysenko days, we're just not used to it being "inside the tent." We'd trash foreign scientists as political pawns, but now we see our scientists are just the same.

I just really don't believe it. My church spends tons of money and time feeding the hungry. Other groups work on housing and medicine. I expect most churches help the hungry and homeless, despite them being illegal immigrants.

Ritalin, among others, is a stimulant. Kids are addicted during school, crash on weekends and holidays. Drives suicidal ideation during crashes, hyper active planning during highs.
Does anyone want actual advice on what to do in a nuclear war?
This is actually something I've done professionally, so I'm willing to write a book. (I updated the manual for NATO; I do know what I'm talking about.)
Maybe a couple of tweets?

So yes, if anyone is actually interested. I am a nuclear professional. I know a LOT about space radiation, the sun, nuclear weapons, really bad cheese...no, strike that one... and radiation sources here on planet Earth.

The model has focused on the Hot-point measurements for so long, that it now commonly reports local temperature a degree above what people are actually experiencing. European measurements were based on airport thermometers, and well above actual temperatures in local cities.
Heck of a day. I'm such a lucky guy. I've got a gorgeous wife. I get to fight for 3 hours. Now it's date night.

Had a design with lithium flouride as a tritium fuel...fission fusion combined cycle engine. Honestly, I couldn't find a non-fatal portion of the design. Yeah, super efficient- would kill all the astronauts before Mars had a chance.

I have the problem of TOO much radiation knowledge. I've come to expect most people don't know what a proton is.
Are you sure?
Yes, I'm positive.
My daughter is reading Pure Poison by Hawkings Austin for her literature class. Extremely weird experience reading your own book for your kid. It does have my favorite chapter "The Ugly Old Man." She read that tonight, super good, super gross, dang I'm good.

Update your myths. That was supposed to be a city in Ga...which currently has a black mayor. Mississippi is 40% black. Pretty much all the police, and gov offices are filled with POC. Go there yourself, don't believe old myths from the 60s.

Yeah, I teach a class on EMPs. They're just shy of magic to most people, so it isn't surprising. Once you get to rise/fall time of EM waves based on electron recombination, they' pretty much glaze over.
