Writing steamy scenes, I have a clothing problem. American readers expect "panties". English readers (me) find that word...weird, almost creepy? We prefer "knickers". lol.
So..what to use? Compromising with "underwear" sounds bland. Has this been solved?

Do you need to describe your character's skin colour? I don't. In fact I've recently decided not to describe so much about their appearance. I used to think it was neccessary, but why not leave it for the reader to decide? Does it matter in a lot of stories?

Financial literacy! Its almost never too soon for that, and it seems sadly lacking. 🙁 Many kids don't know the value of money, or saving. How interest works, how loans work and what you can end up paying. etc..etc..

I got this review of my 30k word sci-fi novella. It's a generous review, to be honest. The reviewer has hit the nail on the head with my main writing problem. I find it hard to draw a storyline out into a novel. I wrap up too quick. Anyone got any advice? Tx

Is head hopping always bad? I write in 3rd person omni POV (so I'm told - I'm still learning the lingo). My narrator knows and sees all, and can be in any and every character's head. Is that so bad? My beta-reader thinks so ☹️
