@JakeSullivan46
Oh are these the “special operator” dipshits that tried to overthrow the Venezuela government but got stopped by some fisherman and one of them pissed himself? lol
@1goodtern
It’s a stage of denial.
I talked to a psychiatrist friend about this recently - he said they *have* to maintain strident denial about covid or they’d all run screaming from their chosen fields.
It made perfect sense as he was saying it.
And yet…he has his own denial w/ covid…
@Sturgeons_Law
Oh those easily accessible free government services that have increased over the last 40 years, Jfc what rock have you been living under?
@Levijameshere
@ConnorLillis
@mcpli
Can you explain why you’re in any way necessary or why I should care about you other than the possibility that you likely fund propaganda screaming about how everybody needs to “get back to the office!” because productivity or some bullshit?
@USBornNRaised
@nypost
That doesn’t even address my question - I didn’t ask for you to copy and paste from a dictionary. I asked what *you* think it means *in this context*
@NateB_Panic
I know a guy who after his last round of covid got like Bell’s palsy symptoms, *couldn’t speak* for a while, had his spleen removed, had some of his hair turn white, and says it aged him 15 years.
“Just a cold” though
@jeremybernier
@amyisquitebusy
How do you think they’re “taking” fentanyl - do you think they’re smoking it? Because…that doesn’t do anything but destroy it.
Sure you already knew that though…
@cpsadrian
@LisaG724
@mchooyah
Yeah gotta wait ten years until a Pakistani Intel officer wanders into a CIA substation and says yeah, that guy you’ve been looking for? He’s right over there. Try not to crash any helicopters
@BaharOstadan
So they’ve basically fully transitioned into some kind of military force. Great.
And I guarantee there’s a LOT of people who not only don’t see the problem with that, but think it’s somehow a good thing.
@myrabatchelder
Jesus so first off fuck that guy who coughed on that woman. Also fuck every cowardly lawmaker succumbing to far right pressure and signing on to a ban that includes medical masks.
@Ellen_Lee3
I hate to say it, but succumbing to social pressure to not mask on a flight is just…weakness.
For all their screaming to the contrary, the anti-mask people are really a bunch of fearful little followers.
@askUHC
@xxx000beat
Hello, we are sorry to hear you’re employed on the social media engagement team or whatever at United Healthcare. If you have questions about better job opportunities in your area please let us know.
@miki_fern
Yeah I’ve gotten to the point where I realized…it’s pointless. Not only will they not listen, but the level of denial they built up triggers anger.
@Michael59503746
I agree - there’s not gonna be some cinematic last minute political deus ex machina coming to FINALLY make everything better at the last minute, it’s now a matter of short term survival and planning as much as we can.
And good luck trying to convince people SarsCov2 is dangerous
@bobcesca_go
@KevinMKruse
The problem with point 2 is we’ve been hearing that for years and the Democratic Party has done absolutely nothing to combat it
@maxwellsmith
Jeeesus Christ the “educational cost…”. I’m actually at a loss for words.
Hey at least the UK government’s bringing back some of the old hits.
@GayFabFourFan
“Never felt better FIT AS A FIDDLE!”
So much of that going around, I think it is a combination of manic denial and some kind of cognitive impairment.
@GayFabFourFan
I’ve stopped bothering to tell my “educated” liberal friends they’re buying into disinformation and propaganda from the same people that brought us the tea party, Brexit and Trump, who their entire political identities are built around hating.
@sharkrado
@healingfromlc
The denial has gone completely off the charts. The louder people shriek about how they believe covid is no longer a problem, the more hysterical they sound to me.
@1goodtern
I think it’s going to escalate beyond people being shunned.
Next up: laws forbidding public use of masks in the name of preventing “lawlessness” or whatever. Probably starts here in the states.
