Such an underappreciated moment of Robert Pattinson's Batman performance. Sells the fear and uncertainty of being in the Riddler's lair so well. Too much focus is put on Batman actors being badass at all times.

It's really funny to me that people say "Maybe give Robert Pattinson's Batman white eyes but only when he's in detective mode". Mate.....he's always in detective mode. Like 90% of his screentime is him silently observing/reacting to stuff with his eyes.

Marilyn Manson did an interview in 2009 with Spin while promoting that godawful The High End of Low album, admitting to just terrorising Evan Rachel Wood and fantasising about bludgeoning her to death. But in 2009 nobody gave a shit cos it was just "Crazy goth man is weeeiird".

Cos I know you all love hearing about it, I really think the thing that makes Robert Pattinson's Batman performance the best is down to sheer VIBE. I just think his whole energy is exactly what Batman should be like. The way he walks, talks, looks. I'm just like "That's him".

@undertheskiin For the folk who somehow don't get it. This isn't a "CGI sucks" post. It's about the overuse of it, not the use of it. The Two Towers managed to make a whole bunch of superdetailed Easterling outfits just for one quick scene, but the new Thor couldn't just make him a helmet or 2.

Over 2 years later and I still see Robert Pattinson's Batman as the best-acted movie version. It's fine if you prefer the Nolan, Burton or Snyder films, but Pattinson just has this aura & presence that puts well him above the others. Hope he gets more challenging material in Pt 2

There's nothing wrong with Henry Cavill being your favourite Superman, but saying "General audiences won't accept Gunn's new actor cos they're expecting Cavill" is so silly. The last time most casual viewers saw him was in Justice League (2017). They're not *that* attached to him

It's funny how some people act like James Gunn's Superman doing wholesome stuff like saving dogs is really overdone and cartoonish, when Superman being serious & sombre has mostly been the go-to tone in live-action for nearly 20 years. If anything, this is what's overdone.

Kevin Spacey's going to trial for sexual assault. I'm sure this'll gain as much attention as the Amber Heard trial. Cos Spacey's victims were men as well after all. I bet "KevinSpaceyIsAnAbuser" will trend daily for 6 weeks. Or maybe it won't cos there's no woman here to despise

Some folk are still giving it "People will believe anything about Marilyn Manson, accusations aren't proof". I've read his autobiography, which might as well have been called "Admissible In Court". As soon as I heard Evan Rachel Wood's testimony I was like "He so did that shit."

@brookstweetz Don't think it was. The guy on set and in the final scene look exactly the same.

Reasons Robert Pattinson's #Batman cowl is my favourite: *The most gothic & unpolished one. *Handcrafted with a kinda Victorian-style stitched leather. *Best silhouette & side profile. *The mouth opening lines up with the shape of the ears. *It lets the eyes stand out. #TheBatman

It's funny to me that fans go on all day about Robert Pattinson's Batman eye acting but never bring up the next example of it.

Severe TW: Real physical abuse. Found this clip that Marilyn Manson used as a website intro in 2010 before taking it down. And I found this blogpost detailing how it really is Evan Rachel Wood, & apparently she's actually being hit

Give the DCU version of Batman white eyes all day long, it's an experiment worth trying for that one since it should be about trying comic stuff that's been ignored. But you don't give white eyes to the one whose performance is directed around them a lot.

The Dark Knight was on the other day. A thing that makes me appreciate how good Robert Pattinson is at using stillness in his Batman performance is this little part, where Christian Bale did something similar and just looked awkward. Pattinson just has better posture.

@jonnybernthal For the people saying "Well done giving people second chances and being open to redemption", let me ask you this. If this was Amber Heard he was interviewing, would you still be talking about 2nd chances? Or would you be like "I hate her she doesn't deserve this platform"?

When Kate Moss says Johnny Depp treated her well: "Listen to her and others in his life! He's a gentle puppy who'd never hurt a fly" When Brad Pitt's kids side with their mother in accusations of abuse against their dad: "She could be manipulating or forcing them to say that!"

@JennyENicholson I found out recently that Rose Tico has the largest main wikipedia page of all the main Star Wars characters, because describing the harassment and racism Kelly Marie Tran faced took up that much space. It's even bigger than Luke and Han's.

@ShadowTodd Asking Harry Potter cast members about JK Rowling has become the new, much more grim and depressing version of asking acclaimed filmmakers "What do you think about Marvel?"

@haususpiria91 It's amazing to think this film actually had a plot about a hero dying of cancer. Even Deadpool handled that with more weight and seriousness.
