@Mike_ARCoffee @Shopify I read this wise piece of advice not too long ago and I can totally relate to my ecomm journey of scaling to $5M 👇. 1) Replace Revenue metric with Contribution margin 3 (CM3). Revenue is not paying the bills, nor making you rich. 2) Run Usability tests instead of A/B.

@gabriel_henton @Shopify I would say its $50->$250k, $250k->$1m, $1m->$5m . the ones that did this atleast ones usually go straight $50->$1m :-) But I can tell you that there is no secret sauce. You need the leverage to really take advantage of great tools. In the beginning it is mostly about a great.

@joelfarrellreal @Shopify As always, it depends. The guys who know how it works and have done it at least once usually hit it in month 1 or 2. But you have to have the knowledge, the preparation and the capital to go full throttle from the beginning and build up the momentum.

@DougPolkVids First tell them they have a huge tell, followed by an explanation of why they played a hand badly in the first place. And then ranting on Twitter about how to make games more attractive to non-pros.

@ryanpallotta @Shopify Sports & Leisurewear. But we saw similar growth stories across all retention-driven products: beauty, food & beverage, health, pet food, . .

@KristopherBryce @Shopify It’s not the apps in general. It’s the ones that put shitty JavaScript snippets and pixels all over your store front. RetentionX just works with Shopifys backend API. There is 0 impact on store performance for example.

@davidfromzwc @Shopify RetentionX basically covers all of Lifetimely's features. Lifetimely, on the other hand, includes about 10% of RetentionX's functionality. The biggest differences are in the areas of customer segmentation, reporting dimensions, ml of generated insights and automations to third.

@TrinityTNutri That's right. A refund l is actually only a pure discretion of the dealer. Crazy, right?.

@glencoates @glencoates When will the TOS for negative keywords in Google ads finally be enforced? We are the only ones in our niche who do not bid on shopify keywords and those who violate the TOS have been grabbing all the traffic for weeks and months. Reporting this behavior has also.

@zooper173 @Shopify Very different. One is selling in a marketplace versus brand building. much more capital intensive to be successful.

How is it legal that @GoogleAds is spending 10x your daily budget within 5 min after turning on a campaign. 0 results.

@SupplySurf @Shopify That's a good start! Having a scalable and proven marketing channel is usually the reason for consistency in sales. If sales are coming from single promotions/campaigns, it's very hard to sustain revenue. How do you currently acquire customers?.

@binghott Hmm, why do so many people really believe that the 1st reported session was really the 1st session? My guess would be that it is a broken journey – we need @KnoCommerce or similar.

@kurtinc I know this is not an answer to your question, but still important: I would advise many brands to stick to English instead of low quality translations. Writing good copy is already super hard in your mother tongue. This does more harm than good for many brands and adds massive.

@iamdansnow @moizali I also unfollowed & muted him immediately after the first reactions/tweets. His 'position' became clear very quickly!.

@MattiSchroder All caps are translated into CPM caps, so it wont target user segments with higher CPMs. The CPA is irrelevant.

@junglemandan Just high equity bluffs. No river bluffs. People start over calling massively on all streets when you run bad. Works wonders.

@retention_x enables your brand to track subscription performance, customer retention, and convert more one-time purchasers to subscribers. Our solution works out of the box with all major subscription apps like @Yotpo , @RechargePayment or @smartrr_app.

@harryswalesbiz What you say is of course correct. The CAC will also be lower if you offer coupons. How much lower and better is the question. What I'm saying is that the measured impact must be much greater than most think, and too many brands are throwing coupons around without thinking. I

@mbertulli #1 advice, don't treat europe as 1 market. its like 20+ markets. some countries are easier than others depending on many factors. operations/logistics are the easiest part. I scaled europe first, then usa and asia. wouldnt do it the same way anymore. would rather do 2-3 european.

@MattiSchroder From my observations, it doesn't work that way. Meta does not take the risk. The CPMs are insanely consistent. It's a super conservative bidding model. This, in my opinion, is the difference to cost per result goals.

@MattiSchroder So if you set up a cost cap campaign of, say, $5 per lead. I've seen my campaigns run very consistently at $10 CPM, getting all the impressions it can for that price. With a "guarantee" that the CPA will be at or below your goal (since there is so much room in the CPM bid).

@x_armand @RomanEcom Sounds like it would be easiest to solve this after the purchase and leave the checkout intact. Fill in the other address fields as custom fields and map the shipping logic in the shipping tool/ERP. Don't think Shopify is going to solve this anytime soon. It's a significant.

@chrisorzy It's so well executed. Simple, but on point, and everything just makes perfect sense.

@TaylorHoliday Raise on a 1000x valuation and get a media for equity deal. This is how it works. Every one who was actually paying for it got burned.

@jordantwestecom 99% of activity happens in Shopify's App Store anyway. Don’t see the value of centralization.

@PhilipPages @yukik_01 I do! I think this would be a great format for an event. No better networking than playing poker.

@therahulissar Yes, I added the same card (it's a US cc) from a US IP address. That was the only thing we changed and it worked.

@NathanSendlane @klaviyo @Sendlane What does sendlane do better? My impression so far is it’s indeed cheaper with 90% of functionality. Also their communication is very much about price and support in comparison to klavyio instead of real product differentiation.

@robkhenderson 90%+ of statistical posts about X are completely wrong or confirmation biased. Crazy. and people are sharing this nonsense….

@ResellDecadence I've done it myself. It's screen recordings from our software + static images combined in Davinci Resolve (free). If you make nice software, there is no need for much more animation :).
