I love Georges St-Pierre. But his repeated promotion of extreme dietary methods is troubling (Paul Saladino influence). My man.. you lost 7lbs because you didn't fugging eat for 3 days.. it's not a "hack" or "trick" it's starving.
You've heard of Elf on the Shelf.. now get ready for...
YOU'LL BE TEMPTED TO HYPER-INDULGE UNTIL THE VERY END OF THE YEAR AND THEN HYPER-RESTRICT WITH SOME DUMBA$$ CLEANSE OR NO CARB DIET. DON'T DO THIS.
Imagine being this much of an a$$hole to restaurant staff.. if you want to be an orthorexic jackwaggon, do so in the privacy of your own home.
Dear customer: fu*k all the way off.
Use this with your
next restaurant meal
to get healthier food
and raise awareness
at the same time.

I feel for small biz owners (as I am one of them), but this owner/establishment/supporters are anti mask/distance/pcr covid denialists. It's not about small business support for most of them, it's about wanting to do whatever they please and them feeling "oppressed".
Like clockwork.. every. single. time. Someone afraid of carbohydrates will bring this up. It continues to be the world's dumbest argument for avoiding a food or category of foods.
@JamieSale
Valid and sensible criticism isn't hate. the problem with you and other science deniers is you see your side as a binary "truth". There is never context, nuance or breaking down complexities.. start there. Start by seeing things as ideas.. not identities.
@thefatdoctoruk
This is not true. The sheer focus on weight alone is misguided, however excess body fat at a certain point is absolutely deleterious to health. I recommend Dr Spencer Nadolsky as a resource here.
🥦You should eat vegetables
🍎Fruit isn't holding back your body comp goals.
🥔Carbohydrates aren't fattening
🍭Sugar is not "toxic" (in reasonable amounts)
(Neither are seed oils)
👉🏼 I promise it's ok to use toothpaste, deodorant, and sunscreen. (I highly encourage it).

@netflix
's "Live to 100" and I'm shocked at how few of the Centanarians credit their longevity to going keto/carnivore, CrossFit, or longevity hacks they heard about on Huberman/Fridman/Rogan.
Low carb people: "calories have nothing to do with obesity.. and tracking them is useless and obsessive"
also low carb doctors.
"wear this expensive monitor so we can obsess over normal blood glucose fluctuations".
🤡Doctors:
Hormones have nothing to do with obesity, it’s about calories
After 7 decades of that failing…

Take this hormonal drug for weight loss, nothing else works!

How many of your followers are cheetahs? You'd be disappointed to hear that the fastest humans on the planet (at every distance) eat plenty of plants.

bro settle down.. walk away. You are getting owned at every turn. You and your minions arw a pathetic bunch and one day history will look at your movement as an utter embarrassment.
I have enjoyed over the year exposing the serial grift:
•Layne Norton
•Mike Albert
•Spencer Nadolsky
•Yoni Freedhoff
•Terry Simpson
It’s been fun to bring to light the amount of disinformation & lack of values in obesity care
I hope to continue doing this for years…
@CBCNews
The only thing better than the news of these 3 stooges getting laughed out of court is witnessing the anti science people having tantrums over it. 🤣
most carnivores need a hug.. with a side of salad. This guy is good at word salads, tho.. still waiting for a single citation to prove any of these ludicrous claims. Yeah, watch out for broccoli, y'all.
@kevinstock12
@mcgalati
yes kevin it is.. because it's a correlation. Are you suggesting that our obesity is because we're consuming less butter? or could there be multiple factors?
@robertlufkinmd
there has been very little change in macronutrient composition of diet. We are eating 600 calories more on avg than we did in the 70s tho.
The worst argument against eating an entire category of food is "it isn't required for life."
I don't know about you, but I would venture to say that most people's goals go beyond "not dying." We can live without a lot of things. That doesn't make it optimal.
@DoctorTro
calories still count.. even if you don't count them. And if your weight is not coming off, you are eating too manybof them.. and in this case, counting them makes sense and is not, in fact, "shitty advice".
This is why we can't have nice things. No, Gary, it really isn't that simple. Oversimplification to the point of complete misrepresentation of science is just lying.
Thought I would simplify food 'biochemistry' a little.
Carbohydrate drives hunger.
Essential proteins and healthy fats drive satiety.
That should sort everything out.

Over the years, I've encountered a smattering of evidence-based folks who lean towards lower carb diets. From Paleo to even a few keto proponents. I have NEVER come across ANYONE identifying as "Carnivore" who is even remotely grounded in evidence or common sense.
@ElieJarrougeMD
False.. I've been coaching for the bette part of 20 years. Many, many weight reduction successes. None of them were instructed to cut out carbs. Reducing ultraprocessed foods and liquid calories - definitely. But it is absolutely not necessary to cut carbs.
Food documentaries (opening 5 minutes): Accurate stats on obesity and disease.
Food documentaries (remaining 85 minutes): Skewed and cherry picked stats to suit whatever agenda they have.. and sad piano music.
Gotta love the victimhood here.
1. Get absolutely owned on a podcast about science.
2. Complain you were setup when you can't counter the overwhelming evidence.
The whole thing now feels like a setup.
The producer of a show in Australia called Science Versus reached out to explore the "internet trend" of calling seed oils unhealthy.
She heavily edited our 2.5 hour conversation to present me as a self-experimenter fanatic, not a
Carbophobes and other nutrition extremists tend to speak in absolutes. This is a function of catering to an unsophisticated audience. (Luftkin, Tro, Saladino, Baker, Brecka). The more objective voices contain context. Their audience is well equipped for nuance and texture.
Hilarious flex. Still not a single paper demonstrating whole fruit is causal in any negative health outcomes (he did backpedal a little). Dunning-kruger in full effect.
@DoctorTro
Again.. "need" is different than "optimal". Number of close-to-zero carb world/Olympic champions: 0
Number of champs who eat carbs: All of them.
@cbcnewsbc
For sure.. people supporting the karenconvoy have largely fallen down a rabbit hole of conspiratorial ideation. They aren't JUST against mandates, they are largely militant anti government/anti-science folk who think government is to blame for their life shortcomings..
Talk to people who have successfully transformed their health + maintained it for 10+ yrs. Common threads will be:
"I decided to prioritize my health"
"I ate more veggies/cut back on fast/fried/empty calorie foods"
"I moved my body more"
Not: "I went (insert fad diet here)"
could you imagine this dipshit rolling into your restaurant and making some hysterical special order like that? Dude should have jumped over the counter and smacked you silly.
@robertlufkinmd
lmao. Taubes. consistently wrong since '02. The guy dead ass funded a study that disproves the theory that lines his pocketbooks. Wilful fraud.
@DoctorTro
oatmeal is perfectly healthy. I throw some protein poweder, berries in there, and you have a delicious, filling breakfast. Imagine thinking oatmeal is bad for you?
