My RD peeps with appreciate this. I saw a patient with a thiamin deficiency yesterday. That’s like finding a unicorn. He was a stable patient. Not a liver failure or anything. Foot drop, calf tenderness, elevated lactic, low serum thiamin, encephalopathy, no hx of etOH.

Butter is high in sat fat. Sat far above 10% increases LDL significantly. This increases plaque formation. Which increases risk of heart attack. PUFA from seed oils is associates with better heart health markers. Just saying 🤷🏻♂️
