@christ_in_dior @junker_jo You may hate it, but that's what peak performance looks like. But seriously, I've had this sorority-girl type come in to a dysfunctional team and make it more productive. I mean, yeah, she had a Valley Girl accent, but she was bred to organize a group of people.

@MattBruenig @normative @NathanJRobinson No, this is absolutely incorrect. Sex is binary. Intersex conditions are not distinct sexes. If you wanted to establish the existence of some sex other than male or female, then you would simply have to identify a third type of gamete involved in sexual reproduction.

@p_kolbenschlag @soona Oh for fuck's sake not this silly misleading statistic again. Average age of death was so low because many, many babies and young children died. If you lived to adulthood, you would easily expect to live into your 60s, 70s, 80s, and even 90s. Jefferson died at 83. Adams at 90

@KeneAkers But that isn't how it happened. The slave trade was huge before Europeans arrived with gunships. That happened later. And they were trading many, many slaves with the Arabs and others (and continued to do so) for hundreds of years

@corpseintherain @_Witch_of_Aeaea @ActualGeniusInt @zaelefty no one is boiling people down to their reproductive system. But that is what being male or female means - it is entirely related to *which gamete is used during reproduction*. It is ultimately about how you go from a haploid to a diploid stage of a life cycle.
