One time I was walking my dog and I saw her coming toward me and got excited. But then she was like, "DOGS DON'T BELONG ON LEASHES! YOU'RE THE ANIMAL!" and she pulled out a knife and cut the leash, then picked up my dog and threw it over a fence then ran away. It was crazy!

It's the difference; "protesters" over the summer were a disruption. These people were "fighting for our freedom" - that's the level of disillusionment they were operating in. The idea that the rest of us wouldn't hail them as heroes is unfathomable to them.

The difference in power levels is so cool. Moiraine takes her time and weaves a complex tree-foil leaf with weaves circling her whole body to open the Waygate. Lanfear just does a quick weave and opens the Waygate.

Today is Robert Jordan's name day (10/17). He died from cardiac amyloidosis. I never really looked at what that was until recently. An amyloid is a clump of insoluble proteins that can build up in the heart, leading to decreased cardiac function. This can cause many problems. (1)
