The was one murder related to transit in the last few years: a driver shot a bus operator from outside the bus. There have been no killings on the light rail.
Driver’s have killed hundreds in car crashes. You’re just scared of being near other people.

I take the 5:25pm Red line train from Cornelius to Charlotte Gateway station, then transfer to the Gold line (20 minute delay) to the spectrum center watch the Hornets lose by 30 to the Pelicans.
As an aside, if you assume a roughly 20-year buildout like they had originally planned, then we're looking at a transit system expansion complete in...maybe 2046?
