My dad’s oncologist firmly believes my dad’s glioblastoma, which killed him, was caused by his exposure to Agent Orange during Vietnam. His claim was denied by the VA. If we want to celebrate our veterans, we need to take care of them when they return from serving.

The job news that I mentioned vaguely earlier is that as of this week I am leading the Subrogation Complex Claim team here at Travelers. The team handles the largest and most complex Subrogation pursuits in the company. It's a wonderful opportunity and I am so thankful for it!
LinkedIn has its issues, but since sharing my job change I've heard many wonderful things from friends and colleagues I have worked with over my career, and it's been just really amazing. I consider myself unremarkable and am pleasantly surprised to hear people think well of me.

So I’ve had pandemic weight gain - around 20-25 pounds. Between my dad dying and other significant stress, it’s understandable. And I’m ok with it. And if you are in the same situation, you should be ok with it too. We are all doing the best we can.
