I feel like people don’t recognize or talk enough about how great Tris Speaker really was. Speaker is 9th all time on the WAR leaderboard, had over 3,500 hits, a .345 lifetime batting average, holds the all time record for 2B with 792, hit 222 3B and scored 1,882 runs.

Who’s a baseball player that almost feels mythical to you? For me it’s Josh Gibson. One of the absolute best baseball players to ever play and yet there’s very little video of him or people still alive that have seen him play. And his power at the plate was just ridiculous.

Absolutely massive day for my collection. I was able to land this 1921 W551 strip card of Babe Ruth. A Ruth card was the one glaring hole in my PC and now I’ll be able to fill that void. I couldn’t be more excited to land a playing day Babe card. I think out of all his strip

Today’s card of the day isn’t a card but its even cooler. 1951 WS game 1 ticket. This was Dimaggio’s last World Series & also Willie Mays & Mickey Mantle’s World Series debuts. It was also legendary announcer Bob Sheppard’s first WS & the first WS to be nationally televised. ⚾️
