@fascinatorfun @CMO_England Used a bus earlier on.. at the back, someone closed one of the 4 windows, making a loud bump noise. We’re at a bus stop: driver gets up, walks to the back, opens windows - “that has got to stay open” he says, unequivocally. This is leadership. This is how it is done. No messing.

@doctor_oxford @LibDemPatrick @PeterStefanovi2 @JoFroggatt @ITV You aren't making any sense.. "I don’t believe the risk/benefit last night required us to insist that the audience all wore masks, when individual protection is so high with an FFP3/2." Huh? You didn't wear a respirator.. not FFP2 nor FFP3 ..you had zero individual protection.

@NorthernLife23 @kelcsimpkins A wise investment in your health safety, but pharmacies should know better.. all should mask, require customers to mask, use HEPA air filtration.. This is simple stuff for highly educated pharmacists.

@OborneTweets Eton boy Justin Welby (Archbishop of Canterbury), after call for prayer.. ..finally gets around to showing a little leadership with a call for a ceasefire and de-escalation of Israel's attacks on Gaza and the West Bank.. Corbyn did far better. The late Desmond Tutu is missed

@WaznyRichard @YouAreLobbyLud Who decided on that strategy? Politicians.. not public health professionals. It was known to be the wrong strategy, that the vaccines were a best effort, beneficial immune stimulus, but no lasting immunity.. Highest priority measures? face masks, ventilation, air filtering..

@MaryRay555 @fitterhappierAJ You might want to wait for a miraculously effective vaccine to arise, but that’s unlikely to happen any time soon based on history of vaccines, even with new mRNA approaches. Other measures still work well: N95 face masks; ventilation; HEPA air filtration; avoid crowded indoors..

@CarolAnneGraha4 @SandyHorne61 COVID = Vascular disease - blood vessels throughout the body, thus any and every organ (highest concentrations of smallest vessels) Mode of infection? Airborne (most of all): we inhale it.

@kerfufflei @lisa_iannattone Expected: most people maintain optimism, and struggle, even after a long interval, with accepting decreased competence/capacity/health.. just such a pity the precautionary approach is hard to grasp; The only ‘game’ with SARS2 COVID is to avoid catching it. antivirals ≠ cure

@PaulLomax Sounds like a panic is on to free up beds.. Timely to remind people: Avoiding leaning back in an armchair or lying on back if struggling to breathe.. it squeeze/reduces lung volume; aim to sit upright or lie down on side or somewhat on front..

@Botanygeek @BarclaysUK I suspect they use 3rd party face recognition software.. possibly SAAS style, else licensed and integrated with their systems. The problem is not software insufficiencies, it's system design: no provision to escalate to manual checks by a human.. followed by authorisation.
