Let me get this right? - NHS is “overwhelmed” - council housing is “overwhelmed” - prisons are “overwhelmed” - courts are “overwhelmed” But we have capacity for hundreds of thousands more migrants? And its the bankers’ fault - because they don’t pay enough tax, right?

Thinking about changing my mind and becoming a rejoiner. What swung it for me was Jay’s suggestion that we won’t have enough artisan sheep’s cheese otherwise. And I can’t be tolerating that. The two minutes extra at a passport queue x2 a year was one thing. This… final straw

Brexit Benefit Klaxon 🚨 EU Commission just proposed €113bn of its 24 budget be issued in national debt. UK’s share was circs 12.5% so… that’s a €14bn joint liability “virtual” national debt…. Dodged. Horizon is just €12bn - which UK could match and beat if it wanted.

Compares GDP per capita with a straight face after UK naturalised 6m EU citizens, and the population has gone up 10m in a decade in dog days of post 2008 and Covid It really is desperate ideological stuff. “We’d have grown by even more” Ok; how? It doesn’t stack up to sense

@jamesjwyork Shows nothing of sort. What matters is not country comparisons but where UK would be if still in EU - most experts say 3-5% better off. But if we must compare a) UK - unlike eurozone - has lower GDP per capita than pre-pandemic b) UK growth 2023-25 forecast lower than eurozone.

@thetimes It’s pretty light of you to simply post this promise with no degree of scepticism. “Taliban unsubstantiated promises under spotlight after change in tone for world’s press”. There, fixed it.

@DaleVince @TiceRichard You literally inferred Hamas were freedom fighters. They are however, pertinently, proscribed as a terror group - since 2001.

@Femi_Sorry @Jacob_Rees_Mogg 4% sounds a lot less than Millions of voters in the highest turnout in history, doesn't it... I hope Femi holds the remain campaign to the rightfully high standards he's called out leave for failing on. If Remain broke rules, too, what does this mean for democracy generally?
