It is no question of expediency or feeling whether we shall preserve the buildings of past times or not. we have no right whatever to obliterate them. They are not ours. They belong to those how built them. The Dead still have their right in them.
-John Ruskin (paraphrased)

He was also a narracist, and disrespected bells boundaries by barging into her house.
Don't ask for a good woman, until you become a good man. Gaston had a half decent idea of a good woman, but had no clue how to become a good man.
@MarioEmmet
Those who cannot conceive Friendship as a substantive love but only as a disguise or elaboration of Eros betray the fact that they have never had a Friend.

If a man cannot define a straight line, how can he call a line crooked?
The Epicurean Paradox is not a good argument, Plantigia's free-will defense deals with it easily.
@RyanJMarotta
her tradition is wrong. It is not permitted by scripture, or by apostolic tradition.
It is painful to watch a fellow image-bearer be so wrong, in a way that will inevitably lead to harm, because if we can violate scripture and tradition in this way, why not in other ways?
@FellowshipFans
This was either posted by someone who has no idea who saruman is, or someone who subetly disapproving of the whole idea of pride month.
@thomaswdees
@GigaBasedDad
lol, you do realize bro has a whole song about how amazing he is, normal people don't do song and dances numbers about their own greatness.
Pride is a sin.
@FrLillie
The orthodox have started to become a noticiable insituation.
If people flee just because of this, it will only get worse.
Hold fast to tradation, and force out heretics.

is one of the best protestant accounts out there, he is both based and christpilled.
@YoungAtheist0
You are wrong, Codex Sinaticus (I believe that is what this is refering to) dates to the 4th century, and contains all four gospels (and the rest of the NT), and definitly mentions the ressurction.
idk where you are getting the 14,800 number, that is probably just made up.
With the new archbishop, it is unlikely there will be signficant change. Yes, he supports WO, but more likely than not the status quo will be maintained.
its certianly not ideal, but it is not the end of the world either, leaving the denomination will help nothing.
@frpercylewis
That is a shame, charismatics really should be pushed out of the ACNA this sort of thing doesn’t work, and creates massive opportunities for spiritual abuse.
@13sarahmurphy
@RishiSunak
People who migrate illegally, are called illegal immigrants.
Legal immigration is fine, but when it is done illegally it is bad.
WASPs were right in their estimation of Italians, and the myth of 'Italian integration' was an invention meant to convince people to let in waves of even worse immigrants. At least we got some decent cinema out of it, I guess
@AtheistTakes
1. Ontological argument (proves monothestic MGB)
2. Moral argument (proves moral God)
3. Argument from design (proves creator God)
4. Historical analysis (shows the ressurction to be the most reasonable conculsion/disproves off-shoots of christianity).
Conculsion: Christianity
@covapologetics
@zevonplant
I am anglican, not catholic, but I would view morally culpable to mean at fault, (and therefore deserving punishment). An infant is not aware enough of their actions to be morally culpable

@Paris2024
Ah yes, Zeus, very famous for being peaceable. . . It’s not like he was a serial rapist in legend.
Why not pray to Christ? Paris is a historically Christian city.
@Paultheheretic
My church does grieve miscarriages, and will hold a service if that is the wish of the woman. We also put them on the list of names for all saints day.
Also, generally, clergy don't make money directly from services. (it depends on the church).
@Paultheheretic
Bad argument. If sperm is left alone, it will continue to be sperm. (if it just stays inside the testicales, it will die in 74 days) If a fetus is left alone it will become a person.
Abortion either kills a living child, or kills what will soon become a conscious living child.

Assuming both the man and the bear are a hundred yards or so away, I would say bear.
Which is why the trans bathroom thing is an issue btw.

The library pictured is from Trinity College in Dublin, Irelands oldest university, and was founded by Pope Clement V in 1311.
Today, Trinity College is one of the largest seminaries in ireland, though it switched from catholism to protestantism post-reformantion.
@covapologetics
@zevonplant
I would argue that an infant is not mentally developed enough to know right from wrong, which Isaiah 7:15 would suggest, as a result, small children and infants are not deserving of hell.
This. Parallel insituations won't work, because if they get big enough to matter, the activists will move right back in, and demand that they be included in the new one too.
If we can't retake the old institutions, what makes you think we can hold the new ones?
I reject the Benedict Option and the Boniface Option. They're both retreatism. I present: the Athanasius Option, where we don't give up on retaking the mainstream churches and institutions from heretics no matter HOW many times we're exiled from them.
@Lilith_Atheist
strawmans do be strawmanning.
You can't justify morality without God. There isn't a good explanation for both its existance, and why we should follow it.

bell was young, and nieve, I would agree maybe not a great person, but she was still made in the imago dei, and deserves basic human diginity
@RandalRauser
Muslims would be cheering, Christian’s wouldn’t.
I like what the kid did because he said what right, I would disagree with a Muslim due to them being wrong.
@KepplerDan
@GigaBasedDad
I would agree, that doesn't justify bribing a goverment offical to foriciably imprision him????
As my momma always said, two wrongs don't make a right.
@ZZZELCH84
I agree, but I think there is nuance here, video games are not inherently evil (porn is) but in excess everything is poison. If you can't put down the controller for a couple weeks, you have an addction.
@DiDi_nee
@HoneyBadgerBite
honestly, the only one that would bug me would be the last one, simply because I am not gay (I would take it as a compliment, but it would be awkward) and the second one could be annoying if someone was well aware that I fixed computers.
I agree, I attend Christ the King Anglican, the only anglican church in decent radius, (probably about 45-1 hr) and we are growing rapidly, so much so that we started a new church almost a year ago in canton that is also growing quickly.
The ACNA would be well served to try planting churches in the vast swathes of the country where it has no presence instead of four or five dioceses competing for turf in the same metropolitan area.
@kevinmnye1
As a theological orthodox Christian, I agree.

They weren't they were forbidden from intermarrying with other religions, (which is just common sense), not other races.

Agreed. an important point to note though: God did not reject his orginally chosen people by breaking his promise, but rather they rejected him.
@NateAFischer
@BonifaceOption
His doctrate is from an accredited university, also what has he done or said that is malicious? The only thing he has gotten hate for is saying that Christians shouldn't use slurs (which really isn't a hot take).
@wowitsnicholas
Even converts are capable of recognizing accretions and bad theology. (though the comment could have been more nuanced, it is not without a point).
Unity is important, but heresy should still be pushed out of the church, and heretics converted back to orthodoxy if possible.

I would actually disagree, Paul never had the full gospel outlined to him by Jesus, (their interaction was quite short) but he did spend time witih Peter & James, so its likely he could be refering to them. (I won't die on this hill, but it seems reasonable)
The catholic church should really go through a list of every "catholic" public official on the planet, conduct and investigation, and then start handing out excommunications.
Senator J. D. Vance tells “Meet the Press” that he supports access to the abortion pill mifepristone.
Senator Vance is widely reported to be on the shortlist for Trump’s VP pick.
Prolifers, get ready. All signs point to a fight over abortion in the GOP platform. It looks like
@roobthepoet
Yep. we aren't french, surrendering at the first echo of conflict is foolish, allowing this term to be redefined for hatred is what the racists want. Lets hold to the correct definition, and contine to use it.
@declareonAD
@JoJoFromJerz
The pregnant women database is just a lie. There is a bill by republicans to provide more healthcare to preganant women, which will create a website where a woman can put in her info, and be directed to the charities best equipped to help her. MOMS act is what it's called.
@DeanoMartino1
Literally just google the definition of omnipotence, I am begging you.
An omnipotent being is still bound by the laws of logic, as anything breaking the laws of logic is nonsensical, i.e. a married bachelor, or a perfectly obedient creature with freewill.
@covapologetics
@zevonplant
and the child (in a sleep-training scenario) is not crying with any sort of malice, but is simply scared and unaware/unable to seek help in another way. So the child is not morally at fault.
@Lilith_Atheist
These videos cover it well, if you have an questions about it, feel free to reach out! (sorry to just post a link, but the historical argument is just too long to do justice to in a tweet)
@newvangelicals
sounds like a pastor who wasn't actually following the ways of christ bro. way to miss the point.
that pastor should be jailed for life or excuted if convicted though.
@tgshepherdvan
wasn't that the whole point of the wheelchair post? that a wheelchair doesn't make sense when magic exists? there are just more effeciant ways to solve the problem?
@Timelord420
Its worth noting, that the number of women who have abortions due to risk to the mother doesn't show up. because it is too small of a number.
(exceptions should be given, but be aware that it is a small number)
@InspiringPhilos
@redeemed_zoomer
No, because you had very good reason to believe your channel would be successful.
we have very good reason to believe liberal instiuations will be successful if they are retaken, but new instiuations at the same level of influence are much, much harder to create.
@lutherananswers
As an anglican I don't hold to this strictly at all, its a fun legend, but little more.
that said, if a catholic starts going on about how they are superior because their church was founded by christ unlike any other church, I become a very stringant believer in the legend
@Exposing33
@paulogia0
I can actually, because Christ always existed, and stayed in nature God, while also taking on the nature of man for a short time.

@redeemed_zoomer
Extremely true. if a heretic doesn't pass seminary, they won't be ordained.
This can be done very, very easily without being to stifling to exploration as well. Simple requre any theological claim to be backed up with historical evidence from the first 3 centuries of the church
@robertservatius
@DrFrankTurek
Ah yes, the book of romans, written by Paul, who was famously very big on keeping his faith to himself. It wasn't like he was tortured on several occasions, and excuted for spreading his faith or anything. . .
Islam: Crass hedonism, with a side of woman and child abuse.
It is baffling how islam managed to concieve of an almight God, but when it came to heaven couldn't imagine heaven as eternal communion with God, but rather just mindless sex.
Aquinas was right.
☪️ Muslim heaven:
Food, companionship, maidens, mansions, land, pleasure, reward, all that and more, anything which you may desire.
✝️ Christian heaven:
Singing ‘Kumbaya, My Lord’ for eternity
Essentially infinite church service.
Alhamdulillah for Islam.
@pink_geneva
the biblical canon didn't exist until the 4th century.
Christianity is a fundmentally historical religion. If Jesus taught something, we can expect his apostles to pass it along to their students. If we are to interpret the Bible correctly, the church fathers are needed.
