I think that means there's no excuse. We should all be figuring out how AI can make us smarter.
Terence Tao is using ChatGPT to learn Lean..
Lean is a ridiculously complex proof lDE, and mathcels have preferred to leave it to a small core of proofers to code it rather than prove directly in it.
If TT goes over, some chance we finally start to see a unified math corpus

Most people don't encounter proof based math work outside of Geometry some time in high school, and then higher math courses like linear algebra and above in college.
