I do think the era of the great tenor continues, but coloratura will never be the same. Some wonderful performers (incl. Lewek as every single Queen of the Night), but my god
i will of course see the movie at the first opportunity but i'm legitimately worried about what they'll do; callas had a unique and instantly recognizable voice and all of us, her fans, are complete psychopaths content with nothing short of absolute perfection
are you serious? the Goldberg Variations are riveting. from the first notes to the (repeated) final notes ranging from thrilling to heartrending w/ such virtuoso playing the spectator feels like an elephant watching in wonder as a hawk soars high above seemingly without effort.
