I think this guy got legit better at his job by taking time for himself and his boss noticed objective improvements in performance.

The guys at Rocketdyne 100% worked on weekends and sometimes slept under their desks and Richard Whitcomb slept at the wind tunnel between tests. Aerospace invented project crunch what are you asking about.
@TheEcho13
How is that not research it was an experiment with a hypothesis, design, a control group, and conclusion. That is literally the largest experiment I have ever seen in my life.
@FischerKing64
1. It doesn't remove the ability to commit the crime.
2. It invites escation.
3. Reading the history of the Soviet Gulags, having a professional torture industry provides a breeding ground for the wrong sort of person entering law enforcement.
4. Cut the number of laws by 1000

Kids do this. They will extrapolate their parents bad behavior to all parents/society. What this does is say: "My parents aren't really that bad. They had no choice. All parents are this bad." In effect they're still a kid protecting their parents by deflecting blame from them.

This is a pretty clear no. The limiting factor in aerospace at all times has not been the literal airframe but the propulsion system that moves it. Thats always been limited by metallurgy
They just knew the right mechanic who built them an engine out of the wonder metal aluminum
@jachaseyoung
I think if you read Julian James book you'll realize it's the opposite. The bicameral mind was automatized and did not consciously engage in deliberation.
@uberboyo
This isn't a superpower it's a downgrade. Our primate ancestors used this cognitive approach and are infinitely better at it than we are
This perceptual (memory) approach works in an environment that doesn't change.

The goal was to have a medieval political system function. In order to do that you need to have combat be limited to specialists, take a long tome to learn, and for weapons to be expensive.
@darwintojesus
But we can see the answer to 1+1. Jews, Christians, and Muslims all have the same epistemological process: Faith. Since they're equal there truly is no way to tell.

This is probably what they meant. I had this discussion over someone disagreement over someone who said healthcare work required "strength" even though the job is mostly safe and doesn't require much physical ability.
@FromKulak
We're most likely ending an era of specialist warfare and entering an era of amateur warfare. A breakdown in logistics will lower rather than raise technology levels. A new emphasis on infantry will have a democratizing effect on war not a specializing effect.
