UK government advisors in recent times have a poor track record. Push biking will only ever be a minority persuit in the North of England. Everything is against it weather, hills and the state of the roads. Not only are the roads not wide enough, they are full of holes.

There is the odd phenomenon like Jimmy Anderson or Ryan Giggs but the legs normally go in the 30's for 99.99% of athletes, elite or local. For some like Wayne Rooney they go late 20's.
