My thoughts exactly, regarding Quebec and Canadian MPs who have a problem with the Oath. If you disdain our constitution, you should not be part of government. Immature in the extreme, especially since the Sovereign has assented to every realm that has voted to become a republic
Just grow up and make the oath to the King.
I assume, of course, if you’re ever offered a ministerial position you’ll decline it out of principle - given it’s His Majesty’s Government.
