@JohnGuaido69 It really kills me because both of the uncles are wealthy lawyers & landlords who own homes as well as rental houses & wanted another property for their portfolio; the guy who inherited it is like 32, works at the Post Office and had been splitting a 1bdrm apt with his partner.

@mattakersmusic This is just so foul. It makes me so upset to see this rancid greed play out in family after family. I try not to make this a generational thing because I dont think thats super helpful but in most cases I've seen of this happening it's Boomers doing it.

@kingkalvan The grandfather died a few years ago and everything went thru and the kid and his partner just recently moved in. It sounds like grandpa foresaw this exact situation and made the will very clear and the uncles are huffing and puffing because theyre lawyers and thats what they do.

@NickLylesComedy take the other $450 out of your stimulus and set it aside for your eventual federal prison commissary account.

@mattakersmusic Man he just knows what he likes. Knows what sounds good. He operates purely on vibes alone which is why he's paid tons of money to produce records by all of our biggest cultural icons. Nothing sus there to me.

@Kintsugisys I feel a similar way. If my mom doesnt need to sell her house for end of life care then I would prefer she mandate in her will that it should be sold so theres no possibility of my brother and I fighting over it.

@geofflangdale I'm trying not to make it too much of a generational hatefest since I know and have known plenty of amazing Boomers who I love deeply but man is it hard not to feel like the Baby Boomer generation as a whole truly let their children & grandchildren's generations down badly.

@WalkingJingle For sure thats whats going on. But imo grandpa looked at the situation and likely knew what the uncles had planned and wanted 1. to give his grandson a shot at homeownership and 2. to leave his house to someone who would live in it and like it or not that was his prerogative.

1K
@alexnwonderlnd Not the grandfather's fault at all, he knew his grandson would likely never be able to buy a home in CA so he willed it to him. It's 100% on the psycho, landlord lawyer uncles who are bitter and are accusing the other side of manipulating grandpa just cuz they didnt get their bag.

@nise_yoshimi I have conned my way through life basically nonstop since I was a teenager and besides a couple year stint in federal prison during my 20s there has basically been zero consequences.

@conzmoleman One thing I like about working for the government its that they dont pull manipulative stuff like saying we're a happy, fun family like the private sector. I interviewed for a different position inside my agency today and they were like yeah its a fine job, nothing special lol.

@jacquewilson1 When I was in the BOP I had to work in a hot, dangerous production bakery everyday at 4am for $0.12/hr. If I refused or agitated I would've found myself in the Hole. This is slavery and our massive prison system literally can not function without the forced labor of the inmates.

@mattakersmusic The only upside I see from every single family seeing their inherited homes as a windfall is that it will hopefully collapse the housing market thats been artificially inflated all of our lives. Either that or BlackRock buys them all and we all start to eat the bugs.

@MargueriteZilla @geofflangdale Buddy people just want to buy a house but thats becoming impossible due to the older generation owning the vast majority of the housing supply. Lets be real, the Boomers came of age in the 1980s. Being greedy and the "Me Generation"werent as stereotypes didnt come out of nowhere.

@Sturgeons_Law Gonna be honest with you, it's really as simple as the fact that society looks down on crimes against children as unforgivable and prison is an environment where violence is in a lot of respects tolerated and even tacitly encouraged.

@KlonnyPin_Gosch El Mayo was always the CIA's #1 narco in Mexico; they painted Chapo as the head of Sinaloa but it was really El Mayo. I'm assuming they're burning their old assets now after this arrest and the arrest of Genaro Garcia Luna. I would guess El Mencho and CJNG are their new faves.

@shrinetothevine I was a line cook & sous chef for 10 years, including at a spot with a Michelin star, and I almost definitely did not cook myself a meal at home that entire decade, all I ate was premade junk. Being in a kitchen all day every day kills your enthusiasm for cooking and eating.
