The way the game is made is wild. Since DoJa 5.1 profile had a limit of 1MB size, these guys used ".gif" files and used steganography to put game files inside invisible ".gif" files to the user and it read off the game files from there. We had to dig those out from the FS.

これを解決するには、ゲームを逆アセンブルし、難読化されたコードで何が起こっているのかを理解してから、「GIF FS」が使用されていることを理解する必要がありました。 gif が正しく読み込まれるように、ゲーム ファイルに変更を加えて gif の ID を指定する必要がありました。

This is why preservation is important. Even if such unfortunate events iccur, we would still have everything to rebuild it. Let's hope all of those games were saved.
A Japanese retro game store with several arcade game cabinets was the collateral damage of a fire started by a neighbor... What had taken 10 years to build was lost in a matter of hours.

Thought I'd recommend Recaf, much better, multiple decompilers and you can edit bytecode and save. I use it personally to remove network checks
