Our HOA dues are $300 a year and they maintain the communal landscaping and have a park or basketball court or splash pad every couple of streets because sex offenders can’t live within 1000 ft of a park so no pedos can rent or own here.

Someone local to me had fertility problems and had to do IVF to have their son and didn't even know if they wanted more kids. 1.5 years later they unexpectedly got pregnant with triplets, all boys, and two of them are identical. They refer to the identical ones as the "twins".

I call it “deal with 10 little things”. Multiple times a day I deal with 10 little things. Unloading 10 dishes, picking up 10 toys, folding 10 articles of clothing. It’s enough to get me started and I can quit if I want or keep going if it’s not as bad as I thought.

I thought I wanted 3 kids until my baby was 9-10 months old. I started seeing her personality show and just woke up one day and knew I was done. I had felt like there was someone I was still supposed to meet and it turned out that she was that person. I’m obsessed with her.

They had to get 2 new vehicles and a new house to be able to fit all those boys. She was tall and managed to carry them until 35 weeks so no NICU time. I cannot imagine their grocery budget now much less in 10 years.

They are very hands off. If someone’s yard looks bad they check on them so they aren’t writing fines or hassling people. The financial records show payments for landscaping, stocking the ponds, and postage for newsletters.

When I was 3 I got chickenpox and my mom couldn’t miss work so my dad stayed home with me. He couldn’t handle me crying and scratching so he took me and bought an orphaned lamb that I bottle fed. Mom came home like 👀

I’ve experienced all 3. Fortunately my kids were both good sleepers and I splurged on a SNOO so I was a well rested new mom. Toddler age is harder for me than newborn because they are constantly trying to delete themselves and then it becomes endless questions around age 4.

I was a wedding photographer for a decade. Weddings with a bunch of kids running around is just a nightmare for everyone. The parents think they don’t have to watch their kids and the kids are out past their bedtime and hyper. Much prefer the kid free nuptials.

Only person I know that made it longer than a few months had it caught during another surgery when it was very early stage. He didn’t even have to have chemo and he’s still alive 5 years later.

I would have no problem living in a rural area with a cheap fixer upper house EXCEPT that I have two young kids & after growing up in a rural area & graduating from a tiny school, that’s absolutely not a consideration for my kids. I was not prepared for college/the real world.

I do hands weekly and toes every 2 weeks because my kids have my husband’s toenails and they grow crooked and it absolutely repulses me. I griped at him for years about not cutting his right and then we had kids and turns out, they just grow that way. Bleh.

Yeah ours maintains things above and beyond what the city would do, especially with irrigation and drainage. Our city is notorious for street flooding. I have no complaints except they won’t allow metal roofs and we get hit with baseball sized hail a handful of times yearly.

You must not have toddlers. Each of my kids eats that much a week just in berries. We live in a low COL area and my kids have breakfast and lunch included at daycare. The only anomaly this month spending wise was $250 of the Amazon purchases was for my daughter’s birthday.

The thing I always hated hearing the most was that “daycare kids are being raised by strangers”. Our daycare has super low turnover and the staff have become like family. The owner’s 15 y/o daughter babysits for us. We don’t have family close by and they have become our village.

I have refused to use AirBNB since OU/TX in 2019. I was 8 months pregnant and the host had us come to a different address than the listing and then tried to act like we were wrong. Place wasn't cleaned and pubes all over the tub. No other options available on such late notice.
They said AirBNB was going to revolutionize the travel industry.
This place I’m in has excellent reviews. The host has been on the platform for eight years.

Apparently my great grandpa did this back in the day. Told my g-grandma he was 25 when he was actually 35. They’d been married a few years and had a couple kids and his two teen daughters from his first marriage managed to track him down and just showed up one day. 🥴
