I went into a charity shop, a jam-packed labyrinth of all sorts of stuff, and found this hand forged chef's knife for a very reasonable price, went back 2 weeks later and the whole shop was gone, like a fairytale

@caseydanielee The highlight of my child's trip to emergency was the popsicle. My version - we went and had to wait 7 hours for gas so they could close the wound on his brow from leaping off the bed. His version - we went to the hospital and I got an orange popsicle and cheese and crackers

@maximum_chips the idea that a TV can cost less than a day's wage, but weekly rent can be 4 days wages. That you need a smartphone to get a job, pay bills, do most things in the world. That eating takeaway food can cost less than cooking, all these concepts are hard for them to grasp
