Lmao. I had a student (6 years old), who would remove his hearing device when he wanted to ignore the world. His mom said that he would do that as soon as he got home lmao š¤£ . A KING. A REAL ONE. I feel like that's a superpower lmao š¤£.
ADDY ISNāT DEAF SHE HAS ZERO HEARING LOSS!!! For the first 4 months we were told she was completely deaf and then for the last 16 months weāve been told she has partial hearing loss but itās official her hearing is perfect!!!! Sheās just an asshole that ignores us sometimes!!!!!

Tetris! Research have shown that playing tetris after a traumatic event lowers the chances of experiencing ptsd symptoms. Anytime I felt like I was in a flashback, I played tetris. It's very comforting for some reason, and I'm able to regulate.
When youāre recovering from past trauma itās so important engage in activities that stimulate the brain like puzzles, reading, learning new skills, etc. Itās a crucial part of healing your brain and nervous system.

I have severe depressive episodes where cooking is literally the most daunting task for me. I will never be ashamed for using delivery apps. It has made my life much more easier.
Folks, think twice before claiming you can tell that someone is able to cook or drive and is only getting delivery out of ālazinessā. We have ongoing mass disability and many ppl out there arenāt announcing their symptoms.

I didnt have an IEP, but I was recently diagnosed with ADHD-Inattentive type, and I am thriving in grad school.

& racism. & being subjected to being a minority. I've never felt so out of place until I went away for college. It was a culture shock. I grew up in the most diverse city in the country. It was very difficult to adjust to being the only black girl in class.
I'm not leaving NYC for anywhere else in the US idc. That "cheaper" cost of living is basically paying $200 cheaper in rent with a 20% salary cut. And a car note, less convenience, and less opportunity. Shit just as hard elsewhere, if not harder. I'll stay my ass in Gotham.

My mom wouldn't let me wear heels and said that I'm going to be too tall. I definitely shrank myself for a very long time. It's sad to see it for sure.
I hate that society has made tall girls feel bad about themselves. One of my aunties growing up was a tall beauty and her daughters grew up to be even taller. They draw attention everywhere they go & I'm sure it's annoying but they've always been glamorous to me.
