Not exactly. The religious cult behind Epoch, Falun Gong, is very anti-CCP. Calling the paper propaganda is accurate, but it's the MAGA kind, not the pro Chinese government kind.
@oneunderscore__
and
@BrandyZadrozny
did a great investigative piece on it:
Barnes & Noble bookstores across my book's topic region now have "Inland Empire and San Gabriel Valley Movie Theatres" in stock!
Currently, that includes the branches in Chino Hills, Glendora, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands (seen below), Riverside, and Temecula.

I just stumbled on one of those - posted a few minutes ago as a reply to
@JuddLegum
. I would've had no clue what it was if I hadn't just seen your post.
Reported it as spam, but I don't know if that'll do any good...

Same with a couple of my elderly relatives! They keep forwarding me scam emails and texts, asking if they're legit. I always try to help them long-term by pointing out the ways they could tell each one is a scam. (Like, an email from
@Norton
wouldn't come from a Gmail address.)

A key point in her downfall was in 2019 - when she learned, live on air during a
@DrMatthewSweet
interview, that her forthcoming book's conclusions were wrong. (She misinterpreted legal terminology.) The book release got canceled.
@KathrynTewson
Nice press conference analysis!
I'd never heard of her before the video appeared everywhere; with that complete lack of context, my take is that she may as well have had a neon sign flashing "Guilty" above her head. Her lawsuit threats only made things look worse for her!
@KathrynTewson
Yeah, or some other kind of abuse. Hazing, pushing athletes way too far physically, giving them performance-enhancing drugs, or....?
But whatever the WaPo's scoop is, she's drawing a lot more attention to it than it would've gotten otherwise! The Streisand Effect strikes again.

just did a thread about this phenomenon. There are a lot of these spam replies popping up this weekend across Twitter, from a large network of accounts.
I recommend reporting them as spam when you see them.

The main guy in the photo is Narek Palyan, who's fairly well known in SoCal as an Armenian white supremacist. He's definitely not an Israeli, and he hates Jews.
And just fyi, UCLA is in Westwood, which is across the 405 from Brentwood. Adjacent neighborhoods, but not the same.

I checked this, because 1 review isn't normal on Google Maps. Turns out it's actually a gas station / convenience store named Safeway Discount. It's not related to the supermarket chain.
@briantashman
He's in or potentially representing Uvalde!? The level of insensitivity to his community is just.....ack! And he's actually close to winning? Horrifying.
Now available: "Inland Empire and San Gabriel Valley Movie Theatres," my second local history book for
@ArcadiaPub
's Images of America series. Find it at Barnes & Noble,
@amazon
, & . Contact me about setting up a book signing &/or PowerPoint book lecture.

Right! This could be his next Flynn-Is-Q theory: The idea that he, & only he, is able to see some connection that no one else in the world was smart enough to figure out, based on his online "research" skills and his extensive background in the relevant fields of.....uh.....

Your screencap seems to be from the nonprofit Getty Research Institute,
The GRI is completely different from Getty Images, the for-profit, stock image company (where the photo in Fetterman's post came from).

Yeah, tagging a lot of lawtwitter accts doesn't seem like the best idea on her part. Streisand Effect will probably remain undefeated! Plus, the intersection of StewAnon & lawtwitter seems like a long time coming (if they didn't crossover at some point already; maybe I missed it)
@AnthonyJClark
Good to know that some content is still too offensive even for Twitter! Per multiple notifications I received, he got suspended for violent threats, abusive behavior, and hateful conduct. Not exactly the types of activities one expects to see from a page representing a nonprofit.

I'm in trouble? 😆 Do you think I'm behind the
@Bert_Rosete
parody account? Nope. But its creator isn't in any trouble either.
@BadLegalTakes

covers parody, satire, etc. If you, Ernesto Rosete, want to sue over it (& *you* can't in CA), it's civil, not criminal

Unless Las Vegas has magically switched places with an I-10 city like Phoenix, this part of the article really needs edited: "How to Get There: Take 1-10 East until you see the twinkling Vegas lights come into view."

At my relatives' small office, they're still mostly using WordPerfect & its companion spreadsheet software, QuattroPro! The programs work OK, but when they need to email files to anyone, they have to save them to PDF or print & scan as PDF. It's a hassle...

Claudine Gay isn't the first black president of an Ivy League university. That honor went to Ruth Simmons, president of Brown U. from 2001-2012.
