Same thing happened to someone close to me.
IMO, this is an issue less about this generation's "entitled" kids. Kids have always been little bastards.
It's an issue with video games and online stores promoting impulse buying with predatory practices.

Been extremely sick all week (not covid). Part of my brain has been screaming at me to get things done with this downtime, while the other, more rational part, knows I just need to rest and get better. It is frustrating though, to have all this time and no ability to use it well.
