A profound loss. Judy illuminated our field; a revolutionary scientist and person. We only collaborated in last couple of years, and I am grateful for every moment - no matter how brief. My deepest sympathies to her family, friends, and mentees.

Interesting results: higher prevalence of immunosuppression in >25k persons surveyed regarding medical conditions or medication use. Prevalence ~2x vs 2013, and unsurprisingly higher in older adults. Immune health is a key to healthy aging.

If an exercise + drug/bio/device intervention is used we discussed whether the appropriate design might be 2x2 factorial where exercise alone is control and additive is primary hypothesis. We did not write these into the preliminary guidelines as public is comment needed.

Important: this prize endpoint is not disease-based by design. Quite different than my previous work on TAME. We specifically pursued a non-disease awarding metric, and measures capable of bi-directional change - improvement or decline over time or with intervention.

assumptions overlook potency. Rotenone is a far more potent complex 1 inhibitor than either met or rapa. + one great thing about met is that it kinda sucks as a drug. It is only weakly mitohormetic; at therapeutic doses exists in micromolar circulating concentrations.
