@SaraSoueidan Oof I'm so sorry about this, Sara. This is really awful. We have a lot of our team working on performance at the moment, but we've largely been focused on making performance better for day-to-day interactions and didn't realize it was bogging down your *whole computer*.

For us, reliability is existential. Browsers are where you do your most important work and the room for error is zero. But (we think) it's also existential to the most exciting and forwarding-looking projects we're seeing out there. We're still early in our thinking!.

@SaraSoueidan If you have the patience to try it again at some point, a trace (Help -> Troubleshooting -> Record Trace) would be incredible and show us what's really going on here so we can get to the bottom of it. Either way, we're going to dig in to suss out what was going on.

I'm joining @browsercompany to build a browser of the future, I've been using their browser for months and absolutely love it! But what impressed me even more was the talent and kindness of people in the team. The more time I spent with them the more it felt like the right fit.

As we explore the infra behind the interface for this next phase of computing, I sat down with the team to dive into…. why reliability feels like the biggest risk in the industry. why we're worried we're overthinking memory. why we're exploring new ways of teaching agents.

@designedbyfahad @joshm @arcinternet Few reasons:.1. We haven't yet optimized Arc, so performance can be poor on older CPUs. As such, we want to make sure the first people we onboard can use Arc.2. Over time we'd love to onboard people with a variety of CPUs, giving us a sense of how Arc is performing in the wild.
