A programmer should be able to parse a language, review a patch, optimize a database query, make a website, secure a server, debug without sources, write an exploit, grep a log file, build a kernel, write a manual, run efficiently, crash gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

Browsers should never inject content. Their job is to present the web to the user as-is. (The user may choose to install extensions that modify content, but the browser itself should never do this.) Browsers that do this cannot be trusted.

A common misconception about a new browser engine is that it will automatically be more "lightweight" and "faster" by virtue of being new. This is far from the truth, as the existing production engines have been tuned and optimized by professionals for decades.

INT32_MAX is not representable as a 32-bit float. If you have a 32-bit integer containing INT32_MAX, cast it to a float, and then back to a 32-bit integer, you now have INT32_MIN instead. This information now lives in the back of your head, I hope you'll never need it! 😅
