I'm gonna be honest. During my undergrad AND masters, not one professor mentioned git. Not one mentioned manual memory management. Not one made a distinction between heap and stack. Not one taught assembly. Not one mentioned CPU cache, or RAM access. (I did a psych degree).

Say what you will about C++ as a language, but there's zero doubt that there are some insanely talented people in the community who have provided incredible resources. Many CPPCon lectures are invaluable no matter what language you use.
