At the light I cross to get to the grocery store, there’s 6 seconds where I’m allowed to cross. If I miss it, it’s 90 seconds for the rest of the light cycle to come back around. Sometimes I miss the whole 6 seconds from all the drivers running the red.

I stand by my theory that right turn on red is the problem. People block the box because otherwise cars turning right fill the space - if they don’t block the box, they’ll never get through - cars turning right on red will fill every gap.

Just asked a woman who was unloading a pickup truck to move it off of the sidewalk and her excuse for why she was there and not the legal spot across the street was that she “tried to parallel park it.” Girl if you can’t park your giant truck you should not be driving it!!!

The issue is that a business has put a sign on a city pole to make it look like a city sign, telling pedestrians that if the sidewalk is blocked they’re just out of luck.
