We won Best Podcast at the
@chortle
awards last night which is a nice surprise! A big thank you to everyone who voted for us. We feel like Jesse Plemons must have felt in 2015 when he won the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor In A Movie/Miniseries.
Nice to find ourselves at number 2 on the Apple comedy podcast charts today. We've finally vanquished Peter Crouch, which is all we've ever set out to do.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Remember, there's a hotshot Deutsche Bank executive 25 years your senior out there for every each and every one of you. ❤️
Thanks to
@thetimes
for featuring us in today's paper alongside lots of other excellent podcasts. Now we're in the paper of record maybe we'll finally get some attention from Tom Stoppard, William Blake, John Grisham and the rest of the London Library lot.
What's that you can hear in the distance? Could it be the bean machine? Whirring and sputtering and tearing flesh from bone? Series two starts tomorrow!
The Beans are back! Experience them as you never have before! (eg by wearing an old jumper you'd forgotten you owned while listening. The show itself is much the same).
The beans are blushing ! We are very grateful to
@greg_jenner
for this lovely write up in the Radio Times. Thanks Greg, may Sperbs never darken your threshold and may you live long enough to see your grandchildren grown up into healthy crabs.
Thanks to everyone who came to our live show at
@LondonPodFest
on the weekend. Lots of fun. The stream remains watchable and tickets buyable until Saturday here:

whilst driving yesterday and this car pulled out in front.
Immediate and impenetrable jingle earworm for the remaining 3 hours home.
If you listen to this week's episode, there is a point where the beans make reference to this tweet and this extraordinary bird. It will be a useful visual aid. Enjoy.
@beansaladpod
Sure, rheas are undeniably enticing, but secretary birds are the real dark enchantresses of the bird world. Legs for days, lashes to die for, can kill a small antelope.
Spring is upon us. Feast your eyes on the bare-knuckle boxing hares, feast your back upon a carpet of bluebells and feast your ears on fresh, spring beans:
Hoist the poop deck and clench the futtocks! This week's bilge is all (ish) about the RMS Titanic. It is also the last episode of the series but fear not - we shall rise again like an old lady's brooch.
Hello! Due to a colossal admin error (it's tempting to blame Sperbs here but it's 100%
@benpartridge
's fault) we think we've lost some of the theme tunes that have been sent in. If you've sent one in and it hasn't been used yet, please re-send! Let the bollockings rain down.

I don’t mean to alarm you unnecessarily but it appears that “three beans” may be introduced as an official emoji. I’m not sure what implications this has, but maybe a good topic to discuss.
Thanks to everyone who came to our not four, not five, but THREE live shows at
@LondonPodFest
.
All three shows are available to watch on demand here for 6 days:

Peloton need to turn around their sales figures? You've got to wonder whether they've considered advertising on one of the UK's premier lukewarm banter podcasts.
While we await official
@beansaladpod
merch, may I present the idea that has been running around my mind for weeks:
The Bean Beanie!
*if you didn’t read that in the style of David Bowie I’m afraid we can’t be friends
"How do goblins feel about marriage?", "Do goblins wear socks?", "What would a goblin put in a sandwich?". Just a few of the many questions we leave for our listeners to tackle in their own time. That's right, this week's topic is goblins.
