Now, these are interesting questions: If a religious group supplants Christ’s teachings with groupthink and true conviction with conformity, is stepping out of that environment really "backsliding?" Or is it most likely the beginning of an ascent to higher ground?
Since speaking out against the abuse and corruption I’ve seen in the church, I have had a few people attack my character by labeling me “backslidden”
And it’s true, I no longer adhere to the central tenants of the charismatic/evangelical church.
