My dad was hardly verbal and I doubt that thought ever crossed his mind. My bar is low. I’d like a hard worker and someone to tell me he loved me which may dad never voiced only in his late nineties when I took care of him.

Prisoners are usually not ripped apart limb by limb while they are alive or sucked apart by a vacuum and than dumped in the garbage! And prisoners already lived half their lives. Babies aren’t given that choice.

I get to feel Gods presence for the last time at Forerunner church on Pentecost Sunday! It was a place I could escape to whenever I wanted to. Now where will I go? I am sorry ppl experienced the effects of sin there. But I had great experiences of God there.

Thank you for writing what I had thought a hundred times. I found a former baptist minister-Tim Sledge who wrote books on how he left Jesus and I wonder about ppl like him. If I didn’t experience Jesus’ presence it would be difficult to believe in God.

And maybe MB was abused as a teen himself. But we do not want to think abusers were abused as children. But God knows our hearts and the hearts of abusers. God obviously is a big God but we put him in our tiny boxes.

I experienced similar events as well regarding various churches. So I stopped attending any church. I realized we were all broken people. We can stay away or trust God will find us a place of semi-safe ppl.

I am also a “victim” of past verbal abuse and current verbal abuse and possibly sexual abuse at a young age I have no memories of. So yeah, I know about abuse perhaps that’s why my emotional age is stuck hence the adolescent crack! Duh!
