I know my father @allenshood. He is not a perfect man, but he is a good man. I have seen him at his best, and as all children do, I have seen him at his worst. He’s a sinner being saved by grace. But my father is not a liar. In 28 years of being his son, I have NEVER witnessed.
Today is a sad day for me. From the very beginning of this crisis, I have been working towards a peaceful solution to an agreed-upon, third-party investigation. Major General (Ret.) Kurt Fuller’s video last night was a new low-point in this heartbreaking situation. Kurt’s.

Thank you @bozlawpa for sharing this. I wholeheartedly affirm that we need to do a better job of “welcoming and affirming” victims of sexual abuse who step forward. While I’m in agreement with other Advocate Group members that these victims are persons of character with.
Please take a few minutes to read this post and watch the linked videos. All of us must do a much better job of welcoming and affirming those who step forward and disclose being sexually victimized.

@EricVolz @mistydedwards As a member of the Advocate Group, I condemn any behavior that has harmed the well-being of innocent persons! . Claiming that the Advocate Group has done this breaks my heart. No member of the AG has compromised the privacy of these women by publicly outting them. On their own.

This is something that has really concerned me for 4-5 months, so I want to speak out. Why did @ihopkc remove my Dad @allenshood’s email access back in November without any communication? . Suspending a former executive leader and board member’s email without notice is not a.
This was sent out to all IHOPKC staff last week. So they will be deleting all emails from former staff sometime next week (around March 22, 2024). I am hearing that there is potential progress related to getting a third-party investigator soon that victims will trust. It is

@EricVolz @DWAYNEROBERTS Dean Briggs saying BS did not “ignite this fire.”. @mikebickle responding to allegations of sexual abuse by preaching to an audience of millions about betrayal, demonic accusation, and the dark horse prophecy is what lit this 🔥. @ihopkc director @stuartgreaves approved this!.

@EricVolz this is the moment where a close friend or spouse tells you to “please shut the f*ck up!” so we don’t have to.
@Rpanozzo88 In my opinion, Tammy’s account is different than the first Jane Doe because Tammy is using her name and reported her story to the police. Additionally, if accurate, there were people who were aware of the inappropriate relationship with Mike while it was happening. ie. her own.

I want to hear the Advocacy Group CONDEMN this behavior. It is wrong. Being associated with it undermines any moral and pastoral credibility we have caring for survivors of sexual and spiritual abuse at IHOPKC.
How should the abused deal with trauma? Go to a rally and pray it away. Poof! No need for wolves to be accountable for years of unchecked abuse. Lord help us. This is not it. #EstherCall.#ihopkc.#Morningstar .#Gateway

I am saddened that I haven’t seen many influential Charismatic leaders — like @LouEngle @che_ahn @BillJohnson2013 — clearly model that one of God’s main priorities right now is cleansing the church of all forms of abuse of power, especially sexual and spiritual abuse. 1/7.

Hey, @EricVolz, one of my family members in Kansas City reached out to my Dad back in February and asked him, “Is Samuel being paid by Boz???” This was right after they claimed that Boz’s intention was to tear IHOPKC down. My father @allenshood told them that neither myself, nor.

I don’t know what a healthy version of IHOPKC looks like after all of this. People of good faith may disagree about a permanent shutdown, but it is vital that victims of sexual abuse receive reparations for the irrecoverable damages they have experienced. I endorse.

@benpanders0n @NKufeldt75984 See Dwayne’s updated statement. They were filmed on December 20, 2023. They were not made public because there was an intentional effort to cool temperatures as Boz built bridges with IHOPKC. In light of Eric’s recent escalating posts, this changed.

I just want to say loudly and clearly that I believe @JustinWern1993. I believe that he was sexually abused when he was 16. I don’t trust the word of a man in his 30s who initiated sleepovers with minors, asked detailed questions about their sexual fantasies/pornography.

Name one person doing this. @allenshood? Is it @Samuel_Storms? What about @DrMichaelLBrown? Maybe @RonSCantor? @Ritaspringer recently weighed in. Maybe her?. If you were more involved, then you would know everyone speaking out has only great pain and sadness walking through this!.
Far too many are grifting off the tragedy & pain at IHOP to build their own platforms as the “trauma and abuse experts” who must police everyone else. You are not bringing healing to anyone but more division while driving attention to yourself. It’s sickening. Just stop.

A small (yet significant) part of my heart experienced healing reading this. I was one of the “sincere persons” my Dad mentions that was met by “spiritual exhortations” and calls for “resisting bitterness.” . It was wrong. It harmed me. It is healing seeing genuine ownership.
@starcazm @blaiseforet Austin, thank you for posting this. After watching the videos of Mike and myself at the staff meeting, I am deeply pained for the ways you, your friends, and any others were mistreated. This is a classic example of a deep spiritual problem that I contributed to at IHOPKC.

@FatherTim My Dad told me an old adage he learned from his African-American homiletics professor: “Read yourself full, think yourself clear, pray yourself hot, and let yourself go.” To this day, I haven’t heard better advice so precisely articulated, even in seminary.

I hope this does not become the case with @The_ACNA. Seeing more clergy sign a letter against women in ministry than clergy signing a letter calling for transparency related to abuse in our tradition is concerning to me. @esaumccaulley @BethMooreLPM.
This quote from @BethMooreLPM: "We were in the middle of the biggest sexual abuse scandal that has ever hit our denomination. And suddenly, the most important thing to talk about was whether or not a woman could stand at the pulpit and give a message.” .

@ahailstone @ihopkc @allenshood Yes, this is true. And he will never give up his personal emails to an investigator. So…that’s why the Ihopkc email database needs to be preserved. Some Christians consider it a badge of honor to be blocked by Mark Driscoll. Others like @seanfeucht are honored to be blocked by @BethMooreLPM. JESUS said his disciples would be known for their LOVE—not our Twitter blocks—something @realDonaldTrump has never been known for!.

Seeing Advocacy Group participation in the #AMillionWomen event pained me, especially because of the harmful precedent it set related to clergy abuse in the church. Thank you @RonSCantor for responding this way. Repentance is the way.
11 Things I would have said about #ClergySexualAbuse if I had been asked to speak at yesterday's Esther rally:. Friends sent me clips from the "Esther Call" in DC yesterday. In the first, a woman is taking those who have been abused through a process of forgiving. Forgiving is.

Earlier this year, one of the AG members privately messaged Gracia that we were paving a pathway for survivors like her to tell their stories and find justice. They told Gracia this because since @bozlawpa started consulting the AG in November 2023, we have been laser-focused.
I never expected my story to be treated as credible by #IHOPKC. But why have some members of the AG/community held me to a different standard of proof than the JDs? 6 yrs of advocating. 9 mo of paying the whistleblower's price. Yet my story is still treated as less-than by some.

As an Anglican deacon, our tradition has a lot of work to do to become a safe space for victims of sexual abuse. The overall silence surrounding sandals of sexual abuse has concerned me (@ACNAtoo). I would be a hypocrite to call for accountability with @ihopkc and not @The_ACNA.
A prominent Anglican church in Virginia waited 16 yrs to investigate frmr youth pastor’s alleged sex abuse, a 3rd-party investigation found. Frmr youth dir. Jeff Taylor reportedly sexually abused 3 boys during 90s; no criminal charges have been filed yet.

Lord, please raise up an Archbishop in @The_ACNA that values protecting the wounded and abused more than preserving the customs of hierarchical authority. May our tradition become a safe place for laity and clergy to fully advocate for survivors of abuse—until abuse is no more!.
This evening @The_ACNA College of Bishops convenes for conclave to elect new Archbishop (no, I don't have insights or predictions to offer). Only "Bishops with jurisdiction" (diocesans) may participate. ⅔ vote required for the election of the new Archbishop. (1/3)

@KellyClinger Hey, Kelly, I personally wrote the script for this trailer four years ago. I actually wanted it to be deeply scriptural (e.g., John 16:7, Luke 24:49, Acts 2:38) and avoid the “controversies and excesses” of the charismatic church. As a liturgical Christian, this 40-day journey.

@shaneholden1970 Hey, @shaneholden1970, I know that many in the older ranks of pastoral ministry will be pleased by this diplomacy and honoring tone. As a younger minister, this gutted me. I really thought your resignation letter would be more forthright. Jesus’ hurting Body needs transparency.

@Jedidiahhartley Thank you for your courage and moral clarity. This is necessary. It’s time for charismatic Christians to realize that the problem doesn’t lie with those who “test prophecies” (I Thess. 5:21-22), but those who abuse them!.
