1. In early Nov of 2023 I was invited by IHOPKC leadership & the Advocate Group (AG) to help bring mediation between the 2 groups. My clearly stated objective was to help IHOPKC come to agreement in walking out a mutually agreed upon 3rd party investigation with the AG.

2. In early Dec IHOP invited me to serve on their Board of Directors. I accepted, believing this role would help us get to that agreement. Unfortunately I was wrong. Thru each iteration of IHOP leadership we have been unable to reach a mutually agreed upon 3rd party investigation

Words are important. So how about these words: she was 14. He was a 25 year old pastor with a wife and children. He worked and manipulated her for the last 40 plus years of her life. Even up until this last January. Those words are factual.

Feeling overwhelmed with gratitude today knowing we'll baptizing close to 100 new believers here tomorrow night! A beautiful reminder that the Gospel still saves & the focus of the church should be on advancing His glory & His Kingdom until the Day He returns!!

Thx for calling this out Joel. I've never heard of this Lance Wallnau guy but if he has any kind of platform or influence in the body of Christ he's dangerous... As are any pastors or leaders who r not not deeply grieved by the egregious sin of clergy sexual abuse being exposed

Hi Josh. My allegiance is to Jesus. So if there were to be a truly independent 3rd party investigation that the AG & IHOP agreed upon in unity that led to that conclusion then yes I would. I'm not in this for a trophy or praise from people. I just want truth & healing for all

I was in Malachi 2 this morning for my devos. A beautiful & relevant chp - esp for leaders in the church in this hr. So much pain in the Body of Christ is being caused by pastors & leaders being unfaithful to their wives. Let us guard our spirits & honor the wife of our youth!

I'm not certain who was on the ELT at the time. About a month into me doing some mediation Stuart asked if I'd serve in that way to help with creating new systems & structure for the future of IHOP to be safer & healthier going forward. 2 wks after I said yes he resigned.

I'm mostly reading commentaries on I Jn in this season as I'm preaching thru that book at the church I pastor, but Dwayne Roberts is dear friend and recommended a book called Something's Not Right: Decoding The Hidden Tactics of Abuse. I should have it soon.

If I remember right I wasn't on the board when that decision was made. If I was I was never asked about it. I can't speak for anyone else but because that investigation wasn't mutually agreed upon & the AG wasn't a part of it IMO it's insufficient.

Well I grew up in a very abusive home and experienced sexual abuse as a child. I’m hope filled my personal trauma along with 30 years of walking with hurting people as a pastor will help me be of some service in this situation

Thx Sammie. I've been a church planter and senior pastor for 30 years but been around IHOP since the trailer days. I deeply love the IHOP community. My heart hurts for IHOP & the larger Body of Christ impacted. If one part of His Body hurts His whole Body hurts.

Hey Samuel - I appreciate your wrestle with this. If you're interested I did a 90 minute teaching a few years ago on conditional immortality & eternal destruction. IMO there's a solid biblical argument to be made for that position. Keep digging man!!

I can tell u I’m one of the people outside ihop Stuart invited to serve on the board about 3 wks ago. I can’t tell u much tho as we only 1 mtg b4 he resigned. The General & I have spoken a few times since but his world is spinning fast. He’s a good man in a very tough spot.

I'm honestly not all that familiar with the 7 Mts theology. I know enough to know to avoid it but I've just never heard of this guy. If he really believes he personally is ushering in any kind of Utopia he's a dangerous at best.
