When I was 7 my Dad took his life. Depression is a thief. It robbed me of a father & it robbed him of a future. Much love to all who’ve been caught up in a similar story. And for any fighting depression, you can win this war & don’t have to battle alone. #suicidepreventionweek

Part of the songwriting process is just being attentive. Attentive to God, attentive to life, attentive to scripture, attentive to the news, attentive to the needs of others, attentive to your own heart, etc etc. Writing meaningful songs starts with us simply paying attention.
